QuickSilver Pop Ups / Fuse box noise?
July 07, 2016, 01:33:08 AM
Wow, I took a close up look at your new power supply. It looks like your dealer installed the AC breakers with a hammer and cold chisel. Also, the breakers are mounted a little crooked and they didn't install a blank cover on the empty breaker slot, plus they didn't even bother to list the circuit designations. I don't want to cause you any unnecessary grief but when I see craftsmanship like this I tend to be concerned about the wiring. You should probably make sure that all the wiring is tightened down correctly. Loose wires can cause lights to blink off and on, and can cause arcing at the connection. It's only a ten minute job, but you need someone who knows what they are doing.

Camplite General Q & A / Upper Clearance Lights Out
July 05, 2016, 03:51:59 PM
Try this technique to narrow your search. Safety first, remove the TT power by unplugging AC and disconnecting the battery. Using an Ohmmeter, connect one lead to the plug or some other predetermined point in the circuit. Connect the other lead to the frame or trailer body and look for a low(er) resistance reading. Have a helper watch the meter while you tug wiggle and twist the wiring. If you're lucky you'll be able to see the meter change values when you hit the right spot.

[p]This might work for you [a href="http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000CCFXYY/ref=nav_timeline_asin?ie=UTF8&psc=1"]http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000CCFXYY/ref=nav_timeline_asin?ie=UTF8&psc=1[/a] I have used this in the past with good results. However, you may have to clean out all the old adhesive in order to achieve a good bond?[/p]

My youngest works for Subaru in Lafayette Indiana. They are hiring 1200 more people as they can't build them fast enough to meet demand, and bringing in one new product line. The Outback, built here in Indiana, appears to be a very reliable product.

Camplite Travel Trailers / Television
February 15, 2016, 04:51:37 PM
The installed Coxial Cable on the Livinlites will not work with Satellite as it doesn't allow the Satelite signal to flow through the coxial cable, has nothing to do with the power boost button. You will have to route your Satellite Coxial Cable independently to your Satellite Receiver.
Is this a general statement or is this from personal experience in your TT ?? I'm asking because we're talking about a length of coax, and it should be able to pass any common television signal. When I first got my Camplite the TV would not work, a result of no factory QC, as the coax was not connected correctly. You can check the cables yourself, it's pretty easy, just make sure to disconnect your power and battery to prevent as OOOPS situation. If you need more advise on "how to", myself or one of the other members can post instructions. Keep in mind that the coax and/or the amp could also be bad.

Camplite General Q & A / Roof material
February 14, 2016, 07:04:58 PM
A number of years ago I had a local truck shop spray my truck bed with the Scorpion product. It was suppose to set up in 3 or4 days. A month later I put a plastic 5 gallon bucket of drywall mud in the bed and drove home, and the bucket dug into the coating. I've got Rhino Lining in my current truck, costs more, but no problems.

Trip Planning / Spring Break Ideas

If you're near Dayton Ohio you should visit the Wright Patterson Air Force Museum.  It is a very big museum and if you want to see all of it, plan on spending several days.

Ask the factory / Window won't lock
January 25, 2016, 05:21:51 PM
[p]OOOoooo, I missed the part about the 3D printer. [/p][p]
[/p][p]Addendum: Come to think of it, I do have a 3D printer of early design, out in the barn, it's called a vertical milling machine. The only drawback is that I can't go have lunch while the part is in process.  [/p]

Ask the factory / Window won't lock

[p]Mitch,
As the above posters have said "it should be a tight fit" Compare it with the other windows?? If you do actually need to make a mechanical adjustment:
It appears that you need to go both up and out, says Mr. obvious. Here's one possible solution using aluminum bar stock. I'm not going into too much detail but the desired raise appears to be 3/8 to 1/2 inch. A short length of 1/4 and 1/8 x 1 in. bar stock, used in combination, should put you in the ballpark. Drill the new holes as "through holes" in the shim block, but use shorter screws that won't touch the sill plate, as you don't want a bunch of extra holes in the sill, just in case you have to redo the shim block several times, to get it spot on.

Camplite Travel Trailers / newBearcat 21 RBS
January 17, 2016, 05:29:24 PM
I have a 21RBS with a skylight and no condensation problems, ever.  Do both RWC and Billmoore live in the Northwest?? Maybe this is an environmentally induced problem? Roof leaks can be very hard to find, because of capillary action. You can try tilting the trailer nose up or nose down and observing the results, after a good rain. Also putting newspaper on the floor to find where a water trail starts.
