Water filters?

Do any of you use an inline water filter system? If so, what kind and how do you like it? I'd like to get something to install between the water hookup at the campsite and the inlet valve on the camper. If you have pictures of your setup I'd appreciate it.

Yeah, Charlie's unit is pretty much industry standard.

Edit: I mean the filter he linked to. Jeesh, people !!

I'm a bit paranoid and picky about the taste of my water, so I actually mounted the camco filter next to the pump for everything (from the tank or from the city inlet) and then have a separate drinking water filter mounted under the sink:

http://www.amazon.com/Culligan-US-EZ-4-EZ-Change-Under-Sink-Drinking/dp/B000NNPVUS/ref=pd_sim_263_4?ie=UTF8&dpID=41a-oJvsQbL&dpSrc=sims&preST=_AC_UL160_SR154%2C160_&refRID=1CV255Q6DKR5ZTFE77V2

If you're interested in the culligan, they have three levels of filters (1,3,4) and they're interchangeable. The level 4 removes the most impurities at extra cost. We started with the 3, but it ended up having a really slow flow rate. The 4 compensates by having a physically larger filter with more surface area, so it has a higher flow rate than the 3.

We have the Camco outside at the city water side, then a filter mounted to the faucet. Pur, I think.

Like others, we filter everything that goes into the camper with the Camco filter. We also use a Brita faucet filter on the sink for cooking water and a Brita filter pitcher in the fridge for drinking water. All are replaced at least once per year.

I've used the Camco inline filter and it did the job. I just don't find that we hook up to a water source enough to keep one around. Plus if you are not careful with them by making sure they are dry in between usage, they can become more harmful than helpful. If I'm going to filter (since its not going to be high quantities) I'd rather just use a pitcher style filter. Cheap filters, easy to transport, and they can be used as just a traditional pitcher if you dont want to use the filter for some reason.

I also dont mind drinking the campground water from the tap if needed, I see it as just part of the camping experience.

We run the water through the above blue industry standard filter and then run it through a Brita filter for coffee and drinking. Actually works pretty good.

Camper is currently in the shop right now but didn't realize the factory faucet would fit a regular sink PUR type filter. We have one at home and hubby won't drink water without it. Can't really picture what the QS faucet looks like...seems like she's been gone FOREVER.
