2015 Spring Gathering Table Rock SP SC

We have 7 LivinLite campers here making a great turnout. Raining when we arrived, but clearing right now. Looks like it will be chilly, but sunny. We have one couple that came on their maiden camping trip in a 21RBS. Ron, Sean, Leslie, fasteddieb, Shovelhead, exploring/carolina, and the couple on the maiden trip are present!!!!!! Will have the potluck dinner Saturday!

We recognize Leslie's hot red 21LL, northcarolina's cute 11LL, but can the other owners' units be identified?  Hey, would a group pic of everyone's beautiful face be possible?  That would be the best of all!  Please please please???

 We have 13 people attending! Will post additional photos as the event continues and add descriptions to photos, too. Using Wi-Fi/laptop combo at the camp store. Looks like a beautiful Carolina Blue day for outdoor activities. Will update later!  8-)

Arriving home, we experimented with parking Campy perpendicular to our driveway:



 

It was a bit tricky getting backed in, but doable.

One springtime project is to expand that pad and level it better and get a "carport" big enough to back Campy into. Will leave enough room to accommodate a guest.

Also want to get 30A service down there - right now we have over 100' of extension cord from a 15A outlet, which works but I'm pretty sure precludes the use of the air conditioner, though everything else seems OK.

Idle hands, and all that!

fasteddie,that looks like a great place to camp!

We talked so much during the pitch-in meal that we didn't start to eat until about 6:30 PM even though people started showing up at 5 PM. Interesting - we have not seen each other before (except for me with fast eddie and kool karen) but there were no strangers there, and we had plenty to talk about!

EVERYBODY had problems with water. We were talking about checking our systems for blockages! Well, I am on my way home, stopping at a campground that has a good water supply and I am having no problem at all. The water issue did not put a damper on the good times.

I needed 3 spotters to get out of my campsite due to a weird curve and trees. Bill (exploring/carolina), Ron (ron) and the fellow on the maiden voyage in the 21-RBS, whose name I just forgot (sorry!) came to my rescue and helped me back up, go forward, and turn the wheel so that I didn't go down the hill or damage that big tree! Kudos guys! I would still be stranded there, going backward and forward if they hadn't shown up. Also, I needed to be careful not to pin Debbie (exploring/carolina) to the white pickup truck!

I also have to thank Dave (shovelhead) for showing me how to get into the campground. I went straight instead of turning right and found myself in the amphitheater parking lot.

Let's do this in the fall someplace up north. It was so good to get together with everyone! It would have been sad to leave if we didn't have this board to keep up with everybody.

Is there any way to link a slideshow from Photobucket to the forum?

I'm having issue (after update) with Firefox hanging and nearly every session. I hate Safari :-(
