Camplite Mods / Upgrades / Propane connection on side
September 21, 2015, 12:51:11 PM
Has anyone considered a propane connection on the outside/side (door side) of the camper?

How would you go about this?

Would you use a regular propane connection?

Quick connection?

I don't put any water in the fresh tank, all other tanks are drained every time. Next time I'm at a fuel station with scales I will get an accurate weight with all my camping gear in it.

Quote from: @paul" source="/post/3958/thread" timestamp="1412092125The dry weight of the 28BHS from the livin lite website is 4,250 lbs. The flex towing capacity is 4500 lbs right?  This seem to be overweight to me I doubt you only have 250 lbs of stuff in there

4200 lbs dry, I pack it extremly lite, haven't had any issues 10% grades...up down towed great! Probably too close for comfort for some. Been out 5 times and about 2000 miles so far.

I had issues with my 28 BHS and the cable and antenna issues, wires mixed up and behind an area where I have to take screws out to get to the button to switch them, Livin Lite has got to take more time with quality control on the simple things like this. Frustrating being onsite and having to run a cable thru the window to watch cable.

Turned on the furnace this morning, it worked good! It was cold and it took the chill off. Only used it for about 15 min.

Pickerel Point Campground is on a peninsula on the southern side of Promised Land Lake. The area has 75 campsites and three camping cottages. Limited sites and the camping cottages are open year-round. An unguarded swimming area is at the end of the peninsula. The campground offers rustic walk-in sites, electric sites and full hook up sites with sewer, water and electric on site. An ADA accessible campsite is available. The entire area has two shower houses with laundry facilities and one restroom. Designated sites are open to pets.

Ask the factory / Window locks problem
August 16, 2014, 05:12:58 PM
Well, so much for my sanity! With closer inspection, I see that only the large window behind the bench has buttons on the latches. The three other windows do not have latches with buttons. Visually, they are all very similar. The buttoned latches must be depressed in order to operate. (I see no practical use for this features.)
Here are photos of both types. The latch with bricks in the background has a button.
The 28BHS has these latches where the bunks are, I assume for the safety of small children. That is the only place in the camper.

General Q & A / Fastway e2 WDH
August 16, 2014, 10:35:57 AM
I have the Fastway 92-00-0800 Trunnion Weight Distribution Hitch and its great! Easy and effective, no holes to drill in the wonderful aluminum frame!

My new 28bhs has a propane tank cover with two screws. The front screw is no problem but the back one is almost impossible to get to. To me it seams like they installed the battery tray to close.

Any suggestions on an easy fix? It's problematic when at the propane filling station to have to get my drill out...
I asked for the SeeLevel and they passed on that. John, is this panel by the door or next to the cooktop?  Either way, there could be room above or below that panel to install the SeeLevel monitor and just leave the other one to cover the hole.  That way you can use the wiring....????
Next to the cooktop.
Seems strange LL turned the sofa bed so it totally blocks the walkway and ended up with a 62" bed. A better way would be to turn the sofa 90 degrees so it could be at least 72" long for an adult and leave 10" to access the bath and fridge from the main bed. They could figure how to deal with the L shaped dinette.

John: How wide, left to right when looking out the window, is the slide between inside wall surfaces above the arm rests/back supports? For reference the 21RBS measures 75". I think yours must be 100+ inches. The depth of the21RBS slide is the same as yours, 26+ inches.
