Is there a switch to set to "cable" in 13RDB?

When we plug in our tv at a campground and scan, the tv only picks up "analog" channels and not the digital channels.  The picture is totally static-y.  We ran the wire from the campground box directly to the tv just to see if it was a campground problem and it worked fine.  So, we think there must be a "switch" of some kind in our camper?  Our camper does not have an antenna.  Any thoughts would be appreciated!

Does the outlet inside your trailer have a small toggle button with a green light? That button turns on an amplifier that should only be used with an antenna. If you're using cable, then the amplifier should be turned off. So basically check for a green light where the TV gets the signal on the wall of the camper, and if you see one then push the button to turn it off.

Thanks for the advice.  Unfortunately, our camper cable outlet has only a basic coax cable plug next to the dinette.

Maybe there's a loose connection or bad connector? You can probably check the interior plug easily. The exterior is harder to check though.

As an aside, our 21BHS had the "AIR/CABLE" switch wired backwards, and at least one other owner reported the same fault.

Livin' Lite really should step up their quality control and inspection procedures.

Mine was fixed under warranty, but both times I've had occasion to hook up to cable the reception has been fuzzy on most channels, so I think something may still be amiss.

Mine only worked in antenna/amplifier mode. Something wrong in the connection from the cable port. Fixed under warranty and now is correct.

I had issues with my 28 BHS and the cable and antenna issues, wires mixed up and behind an area where I have to take screws out to get to the button to switch them, Livin Lite has got to take more time with quality control on the simple things like this. Frustrating being onsite and having to run a cable thru the window to watch cable.

I have come to the opinion that you will never find these in a PDI, and that folks should get more ambitious with their shakedown cruise, close by the dealer if you had to make much of a trip.

Checking the TV reception and also cable might be pretty far down most folks lists. So the more anal retentive you can be in the first weekend or two, the better.
