Today, after years of searching and much RV pontification, we finally decided on AND purchased a 2015 pewter 21RBS from D&H RV. We live near the coast - Dave wanted a few days to get it ready - so we plan to run back there in 2 weeks to pick it up. A big investment, but needless to say the wife and I are pretty stoked!!!

Oh, congratulations! I have heard good things about the dealer you went to. I hope you enjoy your new camper for many years to come.

Welcome aboard ! By the way, you don't have enough tow vehicle.

You haven't told us what it is, but we pretty much tell everyone that.
Let's eat, Grandma !

Thanks all, lots of research went into the TT and the TV decisions.. maybe even too much? With the wife retiring in April it was time to get off the pot. We now turn our focus towards making the CL livable, comfortable and uniquely ours, AND, looking fwd to getting to know the good folks here as we're doing that.

Hi ya'll! I'm Linda, (of Alex and Linda) looking forward to fixing up our new camper. Organizational tips will be much appreciated.

Finding wood in the cargo door at signing almost axed the deal for us.  Hard-ball handling by the dealer still leaves me with an ax to grind, and so after some consternation, we've determined continue on.  But then the threat of a 'fiery death crash' emerges as it relates to our TV's ('14 Ram 1500 EcoDiesel) questionable capabilities to tow the Axx!  And though this indeed caused angst with 'wife's' angina, with resoluteness of purpose, and gratitude for all of the good counsel given within this forum, (yes, thanks even to Pinstriper), we move forward looking anxiously to when we will truly have an 'Axx to grind'.

Congratulations, Surfsup!  Start reserving those ocean-front RV sites now.  A year in advance is not too early, and let us know of any extra-special waterfront campgrounds you find on your journeys, especially away from the crowds.  We will return the favor in like-kind.

God sure has blessed us all!

Yes gwbushhog, He surely has blessed us! Lots of camping in the nearby areas - some good, some not so much. We tend to not camp on the beach much any more, but that may change now that we have a proper TT? In fact, it's been awhile since we've camped at all - so I need to call some of my old camping buds and get back with you regarding "extra special". Sorry to hear about your Axxess niggles and agitations - hope they are all ironed out or getting there soon. Buying ANY RV is a frustrating and exhausting effort - we've gone the full gamut in our research and searching over the last four years (started out wanting to go full time). But we feel like the LL concept is a good solid format for us to grow with and to improve on over time. I.e., it has "good bones" - which is not at all true with anything else we've considered. In fact, if we hadn't stumbled upon the LLs last year in our research, we would have most likely given up on any kind of RV - except maybe something in the "all fiberglass" arena? Yes they are pricey but our final thought on that is, 10 years down the road this TT will be fixed up nicely, still totally camp worthy, and worth a good bit of money - not headed for a junk yard. Well, let's hope so :)
