Thanks!

We were able to catch the last of the fall colors on this trip and get plenty of hiking in. Cooler temps coming in until Thanksgiving week. Planning a 5 night camping trip for December, will see how the weather goes....

I am impressed with how exploringcarolina can work out camping trips by keeping an eye on the weather and being able to go camping year round. My husband and I plan to retire to Louisville when he retires. Then we plan to travel in the south for extended trips during the winter. I want to get to Quartzite Arizona in January one of these years.

Thanks!

We met a couple from Louisville camping at Rough River Lake Army Corps of Engineers campground Kentucky. It was a beautiful campground!

Somewhere I heard that the difference between staying at a hotel vs a campsite, is that nobody talks about the people they meet who stay in the next room at Comfort Inn!

Met another couple from Texas @ Buffalo Bill SP WY and we exchange emails about where we are camping.

We stay in touch with another couple from Tennessee that host almost full time. Last time we saw them we all went out to dinner together and will see them again in December.

One family invited us & we attended their Family Reunion while camping in Illinois.

This is why I hope we have a LivinLite Rally during 2015!

exploringcarolina,  I bet you are glad you aren't in Ohio now!!  I90 has been backed up for hours with trucks jackknifed and all kinds of accidents.  Ohio weather makes me starting to rethink a move south!!!

[/quote]Know what you mean!

We lived out in the country in northern Ohio. While watching TV one night, heard noise out side of our house. Looked outside and a couple snowmobiles were circling our house. Never did find out who it was. We did not own a snowmobile and did not want to buy one either, since we grew up down south. Had to buy a snow blower to keep the driveway clear to get to work while in Ohio! Sold it to a guy in Ohio when we moved to NC!

We are renting an apartment west of Chicago while my husband is working at a temporary job. It's a residential area, with houses in small yards, just a few feet of yard on each side of the house. The sidewalk in front of each house should not be much to shovel when it snows, but everybody has a snow blower! Last winter, those snow blowers were working overtime...

BTW, we are scheduled to have 1 - 2 inches of snow tonight. Bummer...

I am green with envy! But I will be in Florida in January! :)  That makes it okay! I might even make it over to the Tampa RV show.

The Wife and I just went for a little overnight trip to Three Rivers SP on Lake Seminole this past W/E. Only 45 minutes from Tallahassee so overnight trips can be done easy. Here's some pics of my site (#15) right on the lake.

I have already put Hunting Island on my list of places I must go, just based on your earlier pictures. Tomorrow, I start towing my camper south. Yay!
