Let's plan a Livin Lite meetup

Several here have discussed getting together. So why don't we plan a meetup.

Things to consider:
Some here are retired, some are still working
If we have it on the east or west coasts, distance to travel will prevent some from making it
We have to plan far enough ahead so that we can have enough campsites available.
What else needs to be considered?

This proboard is a really good group, and I look forward to meeting in person. I appreciate the willingness of the more experienced RVers here to share their experience. Newbies like me would really be lost without your advice and encouragement. I even enjoy it when pinstriper is pulling my chain!

Are you planning to "camp" at the fairgrounds?

We digress. Anyone have experience using COE for a meetup? Is this possible?

We enjoy camping at State Park & Army Corps of Engineer Campgrounds. Some COE Lakes have SP & COE campgrounds on the same lake.

Others groups like the Airstreamers meet at the same campground/time annually. As an example, Airstreamers camp @ Lake Wateree SP SC
filling the complete campground annually. They have gathering names like Falluminum, Canopener, and Alumalina. Much can be learned from
how they run events. They've been doing it a long time!

I live in Canada and the closest state to me is Maine, I've already driven up to New York state but it was a bit far.

There some beautiful state parks in Michigan along the southern end of Lake Michigan in the dunes. For example Van Buren State Park would be wonderful right after Labor Day when the summer crowds are gone and the lake is still (relatively) warm. That would be a reasonable distance for midwesterners, a couple days drive from the east and Gulf coasts, but a long way from the west coast. After this thread collects several posts and ideas, maybe a poll would be in order?

We enjoy traveling the lower 48 during September! Willing to attend an event in Michigan and probably head west from there!!!! Could also visit the LivinLite plant on the way!
