We ordered a replacement tounneau cover for our LL 6.0.  It arrives without the snaps on the cover.  Well they arrived in a bag with no instructions.  I believe this is because each cover is snap placement is slightly different for each camper.  My plan is to put the cover on; mark the four rear snap locations, put those on, snap them in and then and start marking and adding snaps from the rear to the front.  If anyone out there has experience doing this please let me know if this is the best way to go about this or not.

Now the snow is almost melted out of the yard.  Camping season is almost here.

Thanks,

I have no experience replacing the tounneau on the QS campers, but off the top of my head I would think you will need to consider "shrinkage" for cold weather. I dont know if it will actually shrink any, or if it just gets stiff, but I know my cover does not like to go on easily when its cold. So my point is if you have the ability to place the snaps when the cover is at its coldest/stiffest I would think its only going to get easier as it warms up. Again I dont know if this makes any sense or if it even makes a difference in the long run. I would just hate to place all my snaps when the cover is all warmed up only to find that its going to cause issues as it gets cold again because of the contraction of the material.

I'm sure that was no help but maybe it sparked some ideas ;)

Also I'm going to move this to the Quicksilver Q&A section since its more specific for that series.

[p]I have replaced snaps before on the cover. Yes, leave it a little looser, (closer to the bottom of the fabric) rather than tight, to allow for cooler days when the material is a little tougher to pull onto the snaps. The covers will always "bloom-out" a little when traveling at highways speeds. I actually  use the little extra space under the tarp to store another tarp... just fold it flat and place under the tonneau before snapping.  It is always easy to snap in place when it is sunny bright and warm. You will need a "Snap Tool" installer to put the snaps in place. I have written a .PDF file about the process. You can download it from the yahoo/livinlite forum here [a href="https://groups.yahoo.com/neo/groups/livinlite/files"]QS Replacing a Snap[/a]  [/p][p]
