My 28BHS is supposedly completed

Just got an email from the dealer informing me that my trailer is completed and waiting for a driver.  They will let me know when they get it.

Funpilot, what items are you taking when you go to the dealer to take delivery of your new Camplite? Beer or champagne? Don't forget to buy some ice!

LOL  Good excuse to put my check list here so I can find it again:

I plan on camping alone one or two nights near by expecting to find issues.  I want to be able to take it back and leave it with them to fix rather than drive the 6 hours back to my house and then find out what needs to be fixed.  As such, sheets, blankets, pillows, beer, soda, sewer hose, tongue weight scale, fresh water hose, hose for black water flush, hose for local water, sink sponges, dish soap and other general cleaning supplies, paper towels and plates; plastic spoons, knives, forks, and cups, change of clothes, shower and bathroom stuff, toilet odor liquid, Anderson camp levelers, electric drill with socket for camplite levelers, bubble levels,  tools to fix easy things, upgrade the shower head to Oxygenics, empty storage bins for who knows what, outside folding chair, bug spray, garbage pail and liners, and tranquilizers. Please suggest anything for this check out period that I have missed.

I will get from the dealer two 6 volt AGM batteries, and the Equalizer hitch.

Ah - I am starting to assemble the things I am going to take. Hubby and I went to a Camping World this past weekend, and this is what he picked out:

A water pressure regulator so you don't hurt your camper's plumbing
An electrical surge protector that will shut off if electricity should fall too low or if there should be a spike in the electrical flow.

I got an aluminum step stool. Sometimes I might have a problem making it up to the lower step. I also might use it to reach the awning, or for cleaning my Jeep windshield.

Beer to christen your land yacht? Do you have a concern the champagne bottle would leave a dent?

We aren't going to take any food, plates or other stuff for food prep for our first night camping. Hubby wants to treat it like a hotel room and go out to the area restaurants.

I want to use the stove and microwave right away so I can find any issues so will be cooking basic stuff.  Main course will most likely be pizza.

My husband read this thread. He is aghast that you would waste a perfectly good beer that way. I, however, like that idea. Wait until he finds out I plan to get a can of Guiness for the christening. What else would an Irish American woman get?

My trailer is at the dealers!!!  Will go get it towards the end of next week.  So, Leslie, you can still beat me as it only counts when I have it.  By the way, any suggestions on best place to get the loan instead of paying cash?

I am happy for you, funpilot! You get to do the initial inspection before I do, so I am waiting to hear about it. My camper is still 12 days from completion. Hubby and I are paying cash, so no help there. Once we are living on SS, we have planned it so there will be no loan payments.

While we were shopping for a dealer, we went to a dealer which is mainly a used car dealer. I questioned that dealer's ability to provide service. They told me that only 1% of Livin Lite products have defects requiring work under warranty. Does this mean that all of these problems we hear about are anomalies? Are people on this board a new group of one percenters?
