[p]Has anyone covered the floor of the camper with indoor/outdoor carpet tile? Did u stick them in place? Does that work better than the foam rubber tiles others have used? I'm thinking its easier to vacuum the dog hair off the carpet tiles, rather than the foam tiles. Thanks.[/p][p]

It can't possibly be easier than the foam. The vacuum works great, so does the leaf blower.

Our foam tiles shed dog hair very easily, and we can also give the floor a quick damp cloth mop.  Ours have a fake oak finish, and a very slick surface. They also now come in a very nice, rich looking dark wood finish.  Plus they insulate very well too.  Good luck with either.

I really like my foam floor. I travel with a chocolate lab pup (or she would say, I drive for her). It cleans easily and provides great floor temperature control. I used indoor-outdoor carpet and it was more work to keep clean.

I have one complaint about the foam tiles I used in my 10.0. They expand and contract enough that its difficult to get a perfect fit. Either they are tight enough to avoid a gap against the wall (to prevent dirt from collecting) which causes them to bubble up in the heat. Alternatively if installed with enough expansion room there is a constant crevasse that just collects dirt and crumbs. With a youngster and a dog keeping dirt out of the camper is impossible but I try to minimize the amount of extra work I have to do to clean it up. The carpet tiles would not have this expansion issue I assume.

Another word of caution, the carpet tiles may not have a good way to adher since the floor is ribbed. Leaving it as a floating floor is not a bad idea though.

I just installed a foam tile floor in my QS 6.0; it cost a whopping $18 for a [a href="https://www.pepboys.com/product/details/9945795/00314"]six-pack of 2'x2' tiles [/a]from Pep Boys. What an improvement!

I bought some ages ago and left them in the garage to off gas.  Well, they were from Costco and didn't even need to.  Now I need to install the darned things.  Good reminder.
