Help in determine a real price

Fellow members---I'm considering selling my late model 2015 16TBS and need help in establishing a selling price.  Unit has the XL package with power tongue, very clean, about 4300 miles, just used this season.  I would think demand would be high  since it was built before Thor started making changes, so it has the dual axel, alum roof and the cool Azdel and alum cabinets.  Didn't know if there is a formula to apply to replacement costs.  Thanx in advance for any comments.

But seriously, some factors to consider besides the year and model of camper:

seasonal price variations, geographic area, how quickly you want it to sell, whether there is a good local dealer, whether everything is working, whether it has any warranty(s) remaining on appliances, modifications have you done, and how widely you plan to advertise it. 

Have you searched rvtrader, eBay, Craigslist, etc for asking prices of used Camplites?

RVtrader has an NADA price calculator under the research tab.  I ran your trailer guestimating your option package.   It came back $16500 low retail and 19750 average retail.   I think a fair place to start is somewhere in between since you are selling it on your own and not a dealer...IMHO of course.   FYI:   I traded in my 2013 16DB a year ago in this general price range so I do think it's a fair ballpark.

The problem is these are largely unknown to the general market, and of course the calculator is working off such a small sample size of sales.

I thing your price is low but maybe right for the current season. We sold our 2013 16 DB in March for what we paid for it 2 years earlier. Location and time of season will determine your ultimate selling price. Seasons almost over so expect the low end but hold out until
Spring and you should be able to command a premium.

Pinstriper and Ammobob both raise good points.  Bottom line is your motivation to sell and patience to persevere through the hassle to show it perhaps many times to sell it for top dollar.  If it was mine I'd price it on the highest side of what seems reasonable.  If it doesn't sell then you know your price is too high. The market will tell you.  I also bought and sold my 16DB in just about 18 months.  I also got pretty close to what I paid for it before taxes.
 

PS: I'm not sure where the thread is now, but I think someone found out where to look up dealer invoice for new LL trailers.  It was about a year or so ago I recall seeing that thread.    That might also help you dial in on how to price yours. since yours is still nearly new.

Thanx for the comments.  It seems as tho any serious buyer would have done the research that we all did when we chose CampLite which would nullify the general pricing guides.   I was most curious of your thoughts about a premium if any a well informed buyer would pay to have the double axel and other preThor changes.

I only learned about the advantages of LL's pre Thor construction (other than weight, which was my driving force) after purchase and after joining this forum. So even though there are zealous acolytes to the LL pre Thor philosophy, they are probably not buyers.[/p][p]

Looks like most on here are noting the same things about factors to consider. I would add that we get a LOT of comments about ours when we are out camping/traveling and many of those specifically like the dual axles. That is the most noticeable difference between the pre-'16 TBS and the current models. Tout that big in your ad. New '16 TBS Camplites are at dealers for around $26,000 asking prices and if I were you, I would not go too much below that for starters, especially if you plan to sell it next spring at the peak of the buying season. And remember too there are lots of people willing to travel long distances to get what they want, so don't just put it in your local Craigslist zip code!

Merlin, pretend you where on a long road trip with your new rig and decided that the RV life style was not for you.  While on this trip 3 different people exchanged phone numbers with you wanting to buy your trailer.  All 3 new exactly what unit you had and were well aware of the changes that Thor had made.  They all felt that the double axel was key.  Knowing what you would add for the mods  you made, how would you value the basic !6TBS with XL package?  It's interesting to me that all of these people were owners of bigger units that wanted to downsize.  In addition, each of these folks lived at least 500 miles from where I live in Kansas City and didn't have any concerns.  I'm still not sure I want to sell in the first place.  It's paid for and storage during the winter is free.  Thought you would enjoy the "what ifs."

Dear Guest, I'll sure try.  The exterior is what LL called beige and the interior is the cherry Azdel.  I did post some pics on a previous thread showing my dinette conversion, cheers
