Some questions regarding my 2015 6 x 15 quicksilve Toyhauler

I just noticed last night while cleaning the roof that it is flat. I ordered it and assumed that it wouldn't be but it is as you all already know. The caulking as I call it around the seems of the aluminum is about a quarter inch thick. I noticed on our first trip that everyone's ac units were leaking but mine wasn't. Well the reason was because its like a mini swimming pool on top of my unit. Is there anything to worry about with it or should I not level the trailer completely when setting up to allow for some water run off?

Another question I have is when I was looking underneath the unit to check for leaks I found a few sets of hot water and cold water shutoff valves. One in the front of the trailer and the other somewhere in the middle. Are these to help winterize the unit by opening them to allow water to run out of the lines? I have no idea as I haven't winterized it ever since it stays in a heated garage.

One other question for everyone is are your water pumps a bit obnoxious? Mine got a bit louder than when first new. It seems to be mounted tightly but it rattles against the aluminum floor and is very annoying. I can't wait to have a city water hookup next time I go camping. Any tips on quieting it?

Thanks everyone! Any suggestion or answer is much appreciated.

The roof on my Camplite 13QBB also tends to pool water when the AC is running. On very humid days it will eventually spill over and start dripping down one of the sides, but I've always just assumed it was a function of the aluminum roof construction and have not noticed any issues. When storing it, I make sure to keep it either a little above or below "level" to help with the water run-off.

Those drains are most likely the low-point drains, and they would be used when (or if) you ever need to winterize the trailer.

My water pump is also pretty loud, especially from inside the trailer and also seems to get a bit louder as the fresh water tank is drawn down. Although without hearing it in person it's hard to say if your pump is unusually loud or not. Depending on where your pump is mounted, you might be able to better isolate the noise, but that's not a mod I've looked at doing--although I'm sure others here have.

Thanks for the response. I was a bit upset when I first looked at the roof. It looks like any little issues with the caulking and its going to leak because the water has a hard time draining off. I have also heard that people would much rather have the older aluminum roof than the new tpo they are introducing so that makes me feel a littler better about having the one piece aluminum roof.

My water pump is mounted in the very front of the unit to the right in the storage cabinet. Not too hard to reach. Yes mine was getting louder as the water drained and I have a bit of ocd so it was driving me crazy. Seems like they could have done something to help other than shim it with a few little rubber pieces. I don't like messing with such parts but may look into putting a rubber matt underneath it and remounting it on it.

I also have a 6x15 with the flat roof. I always park it slightly tongue high because of the water pooling.

The roof sealant on mine is a very flexible rubbery type I have never seen before. I contacted the factory right after I purchased the trailer to find out what it was, I was told it was a Manus Bond product, possibly the 75AM which is used on buses and RV's. I used some of the Sika product installing an antenna system and it seems fine.

The valves on the front are to drain the system and the ones near the water heater are used to either bypass the water heater or aid in winterizing the system.

I noticed my water pump makes a little noise but it doesn't run long enough to bother us, we have used our trailer for over three years and never hooked up to city/campground water, don't feel like fooling with the hose. We usually do one nighters locally and on out of state trips we use the showers at the campgrounds.

Thanks for the response David. I am not loving how noisy my pump is but at the same time it was almost empty when it was noisy and I have heard they are a lot quieter when the tank is full so I will see next time I go out. I would like to know what that black rubbery sealant is on the top of mine so I could try to get some. I plan on getting some new clear sealant for the walls and what not that isn't silicone in the future. I think I will try to not be as level as normal either next time I camp when its hot so the AC can drip easier.
