Just wanted to say hello and thanks for all the great info on these forums.  I've been lurking around the past few days as we slowly made our final decisions on what TT we wanted to replace our Scamp with . . . settled on a 21BHS.  These forums have been super helpful already and we haven't even take delivery yet!

Welcome aboard. Have fun in your 21 BHS and post some pics when you can.

Good to have your aboard. What part of the country are you in?

Thanks!  I will throw up some pics soon, picking it up Friday.  I'm a little anxious to see how my Avalanche handles it, but think it will be fine.  I do have the factory installed towing package, but not the HD Towing options of extra cooling.

Got her today, what excellent engineering in a gorgeous package!

Noticed a few minor issues at dealer and they cleaned up.  One dent on the inner roll portion of canopy, so they ordered a new one.

Found a couple other items at home:

 - One latch on dinette window won't engage, slips off the back of the block.
 - Radio antenna seems very poor, do these usually have a good range? Guessing it is wired wrong, I will pull it apart unless I hear the antenna is just junk.

I stupidly only brought a 3.5" drop hitch with so the rear was 6" higher than the front the 60 miles home.  Felt a little squirrely but I'm hoping that was just from the weight being light on rear trailer axle.  I went to three stores and can't find a "0" receiver to even out the 3 inches I need to come up . . . probably just order one from Amazon.  If I had to have the hitch a little high or a little low, I'm assuming high is better to make up for extra weight when I'm actually loaded.

Hi Drake -- let the fun begin! Looks great!  8-)

Perhaps you can use an adjustable height ball mount. This one from Hidden Hitch allows 12 different ball height positions --- good for getting it correct now and with most other tow vehicles. (The trailer will outlast your Avalanche  :)  ).

Congrats! We love our new 21BHS as well (just got it in December). A lot of people (including us) have had problems with the antenna upon receipt of the trailer. We had to take ours back to the dealer to fix, but before you do that, make sure that you have turned on the power booster for the antenna. It's located above the television next to the power outlet that the TV is plugged into. It is a little button that you push in and then a little green light comes on to indicate that it's been turned on. If you still can't receive radio or TV stations after doing that, then the antenna is probably not connected properly. If that's the case, I'm not sure if you will be able to fix it yourself because our dealer had to go up on the roof and take the antenna off. By they way, ours works very well now that it's fixed! Let us know what the problem turns out to be and then have a great time camping!

Nice looking set-up. Love the color combo.

Thanks everyone!

I might have to go with an adjustable hitch like that, thanks for the tip.

A boost button... who knew!  My coffee and I tried it out first thing this morning, works great,  thanks a lot.
