Hi everyone,

I'm a bit tardy on this post. I took delivery of our 2016 21BHS about 3 weeks ago. Picked up on a Friday down at GoPlayRv (2 hours south of me) and by Saturday we were camping out at wonderful Lake Dallas only 20 minutes from my storage garage.

I've already started on some mods.  You guys will have to be patient with me though...my mod eyes are bigger than my mod skills at times. I'm not a natural at this stuff like a lot of you guys but I'm persistent.  Which translates to I ask a lot of questions because I do dumb crap along the way...

- I've added a bigger sewer hose storage and moved the original to the other side. Drilling into metal is new for me.  I added some small washers to the bolts to disburse the weight some. Just using the bolts seemed to put a lot of pressure on the plastic holes. It seemed more sturdy when I was done.  I like having the second one too now.

- I put a 32" Samsung tv on the wall mount. Got it Costco and it's a nice one. Wife insisted on a good tv. I had to drill out the holes some to fit the M8 screws. The tv fits like a dang glove over top the window valance. My 7 year old son is pleased I'll let him take his Wii U on trips to play now and then.

- I'm almost done adding the Irvine sliding shower curtain mod many of you have done. I think that's going to be real nice and give more of a hotel shower feel.

- I added that Oxygenics shower head. I dig that. I hated the original...damn thing was practically peeing on me. Eww.

- I'll be putting in this shampoo dispenser after the shower door is done:

Anywho...here's some pics. The windows are tinted some on mine and I dig it for Texas heat. And I like the look. Wasn't expecting that. It also has the off-road package which I love. Initially, I was not happy with the LL interior cabinet debacle. But honestly I'm liking it along with the counter upgrades. Feels like a little hotel....was worried it would feel cheap.

Oh one more thing. This is my first travel trailer of any sort. Never done this sort of thing before. All these posts have been beyond helpful in getting up to speed. Still have much to learn. Thank you.

A big welcome from Texas too! I also purchased our RV (21RBS) from Joel at GoPlayRV.  It was also our first one.  Joel provided such a great purchase experience for us and was a pleasure to work with.

Thanks for the pics Dusty. Your rig looks great, very similar to ours. You'll be glad that you got the power jack up front and the off-road package (we like the tires and different axles!). Have fun with your new camper. You'll get lots of compliments on it! And it's OK to go slow on the mods. Just do them as you have time for them and only do the ones that you want to!

BTW...I see that they have installed a range hood, but it doesn't look like it vents "through the wall".

Is it a ventless hood??

Great rig! Is the Sequioa working well as a TV? And speaking of TVs, I'll bet that Samsung is really nice.

The vent over our range doesn't vent outside. It's ventless, which blows the air back down towards the range top.
I would bet the ranch that yours does the same. It would be nice to replace it with one that vents outside, but I'm thinking that mod would be quite tricky with having to cut a hole through the side of the camper.

So far it's doing fine.  It has more sag than I would like as we discussed.  Still debating how much money we should sink into it if we plan to get a Tundra in the next year.

The Samsung is nice.  I have it up but we haven't taken the Camplite out camping yet since I installed it so haven't used it.

It would be nice to replace it with one that vents outside, but I'm thinking that mod would be quite tricky with having to cut a hole through the side of the camper.[/quote]Yeah, I bet you're right which is why I qualified it with I haven't checked for myself.  I cooked mainly outside on a grill the first trip.  Personally, I don't know if I'm concerned with it since we're not huge cooking people so anything we cook will be pretty simple or I'll open up a top vent to let some air out.
