Overpriced RV & Camping Stuff...

I been thinking about starting this thread for a while. Often in Amazon I'll run across a product that is outrageously priced. Plain crazy - total rip-off pricing seems to be becoming more common. I just saw this one and had to post it.

after a recent post here is looked up the popstick marshmallow/hot dog sticks on amazon.

would you rather pay $70 a piece...

I suppose that you can find outrageously high pricing on some items some of the time on Amazon. Remember what PT Barnum said.

But I occasionally find absolute bargains there. I once found a name brand boat anchor priced 1/3 lower than anything I had ever seen. I snapped it up, it was delivered (free as it was Prime) the next week and was exactly what I had expected. I have never seen that pricing since.

Others tell me that they also see great deals occasionally. Maybe an online seller is trying to build up a reputation, maybe they have stock they can't unload, who knows. But I will take it when I see it.

To be fair, regarding the marshmallows, you are getting two bags; a total of three and half pounds of tooth decay.  Such a deal.   I bet when one of these oversized babies catches fire (mine always do) it must be quite the blaze.    My favorite Amazon experience  was when I purchased a "uni-sex roaster".   I assume it will allow me to roast both toms and hens.

You know that Dometic black rubber seal you see in the toilet every time you flush, about 3.5 inches in diameter and 1/8 inch thick, I just replaced mine. Went to an RV dealer in GA, took 10 minutes to find one but they finally did, got ready to pay and the lady said $42 and change. WWWhhhaaaatttt! I said that has to be a mistake, she agreed, another guy double checked, no that was the price. I walked out and ordered on- line for low 20$ and got it in two days.

How's [font size="6" color="#ff1f00"]$1300[/font] for a monocular sound? A bit overpriced since the same one can be had for about $14.

Ebay is weird like that. We recently bought a new camera, a Panasonic Lumix LX100. Before buying, I was shopping around both new and used, and checked Ebay. The prior model, the LX7 was going for around the same price new (with unknown warranty status, a lot of gray market cameras on Ebay), and a used one was only about $50 less than what we paid for the new LX100 (not much savings on a $650 camera).
