[font face="comic sans ms" size="3"]We are not new members (previously owned '12 6.0 and '13 13QBB), but wanted to share the information on our "new" 2016 16DBS. Picked it up a couple weeks ago.  Ordered 3rd week of November.
Sweated through all the changes that are happening (single axle, tire size, tpo roof, etc).  We are so glad we ordered when we did.

Info on the DBS...
-colors = light pewter, alpine white interior, natural lite leather
-XL living package = 13.5ac, vortex fans, tank monitor, vinyl floor, leatherette seating, ss countertop, dual lp tanks
-U-shaped dinette in slide-out (it is same size as 21RBS)
-Jensen 22" led tv
-Fantastic fan
-tandem axle, 13" tires
-aluminum roof
-power tongue jack

We are really happy with it and cannot wait to take it out.

Congrats! Love the color (we have the same color on our 21BHS that we picked up in December!). And you must have gotten one of the last dual axle units. Nice!

Congrats Magoo. I'm happy you got what you wanted!   Did they change the rear bumper or does it just look dark in the picture?

That may well be the best trailer ever produced by CL.

Let's eat, Grandma !

Very nice rig! Are you using any kind of anti sway set up? I have a 2005 tacoma 4.0 V6
Im gonna get either a 14dbs or the quicksilver vrv 6x15 toy hauler
Would I need some type of anti sway set up?

No, we are not using any antis-way or weight distribution.  Also, we towed our 2013 QBB for three years without anti-sway.  We picked up our 2016 16DBS from our dealer which is 239 miles from home.  We also took it on a 252 mile round trip the next weekend.  Both times there were winds exceeding 25-30 mph and gusting.  We traveled highway, double lane, and country roads.  We made note of when semis (tankers, box or flatbed) or larger vehicles passed us.  We did not notice being pulled into or pushed around at all.  Now, what we did notice when on a two lane highway, with semi trucks coming from opposite direction, if we were favoring towards the centerline of the road, we would feel a burst of wind as it passed. However, if we favored to the right side of the road as the trucks approached, we didn't have any burst of wind feelings.  We also monitored the wind direction and the gusts.  Yes, we did notice the gusts, but in the same manor if we were just in the Tacoma without towing.

We think there are a number of factors contributing to the way the 16DBS tows.  The long wheel base of the Tacoma, weight of the Tacoma to the 16DBS, larger wheels on the Tacoma, tandem axle on the 16DBS, balance of the 16DBS, as well as other factors contribute towards the good towing experience

All that being said, everyone's tv / trailer situation and experience is different.  Our setup works for us.  We only have about 500 miles under our belt with the 16DBS, but we are very satisfied with our setup as it stands.

I hope this helps.  Good luck with your new camper whichever you decide!
