Congratulations on your new Polaris!  This is exciting for sure remembering just last year at this time when we got our 2015 26x8.5 Axxess (same as Polaris, just different decals).  We have been very impressed with its sturdy construction and sure enjoy the peace of mind we have not fretting over rot and rust, especially in Florida's humid climate.  Does your Polaris have the 'mirror' finish on the exterior?  You'll find it will draw attention.  Also hope you got a 2015 or older (pre-Thor).

My hats are off to those LL owners who spend miles, weeks and months in their campers.  We have found that ours is great for short-term adventures, but occupying a Livin'Lite for extended periods is for others, not us.  My Better-Half has been living in our Axxess now for 6 weeks as he completes RV tech training.  He is soooo over it.   We do have hopes of traveling afar for extended periods of time, but it won't be in our Axxess!  "Weekend Warrior' stuff, it's great.  Long term? Fogetaboutit.  IOHO.

With all the water in Michigan, you should really enjoy your summers!  Sure hope Flint's residents can say the same soon, but I digress.

Where are the best Michigan trips?

Lookinnow (and others) can chime in too, but here are some ideas for toyhaulers (assuming actually hauling toys!).

Silver Lake State Park has access to the dunes along Lake Michigan for ORVs. It's a really fun place and the campground is always full of others with ORVs of all types and sizes.

ORV riding is a popular sport in Michigan, especially in the northern Lower Peninsula and in the Upper Peninsula. The DNR trail map has lots of options:

The campgrounds in Hiawatha, Manistee, and Huron National Forests tend to be well-maintained and offer access to a variety of trails. No water or electric hookups, however.

Non-motorized mountain biking is very popular too with info on great location at this site. The state parks in the Keweenaw are a good base camp for some of the best trails.

For general camping, I really like the state parks along the Great Lakes. I haven't found a bad one yet! Those near large cities tend to be busy and full in the summer, but those off the beaten track with sites right on the lake are truly outstanding camping. http://www.michigandnr.com/parksandtrails/#map-tab
