Hi thought I should introduce myself before I bug you with questions.
I'm Tom from Fl, the wife and I have just purchased a 2013 QS 8.0 popup to use behind our 66 mustang as we get ready to do the route 66 tour this fall.

We are planing on using it around the state and getting used to it for the next few months so I'm sure we will have lots of questions

As soon as the Hitch for the car gets here I'll try and get a pic up for y'all!

Thanks Tom66

[p]Welcome, Tom66, from fellow Floridians!    Yes, it's sunny today....but what a week it's been!  Enjoy your new QS![/p][p]
[/p][p]P.S.  Ref. your tag line: I don't know much about how  fun old cars are, but old codgers sure are...at least one special codger I know.  :D [/p]

did you get a red one?

RT66, like ending up here in Ca?

tom66

I was wanting red but settled for white!
I may paint to match before we go,
And yes we are going from Chicago to California

Welcome to the forum Tom!

Rather than paint it red maybe you can consider adding a red decal. Sign shops can cut you ones from shiny red vinyl. I'm thinking on the sides of the trailer you could have, say a 24" wide, band of red running on a angle from top to bottom. If you imagine having a red Shelby Cobra with a white stripe, your trailer could be the opposite -- white with a red stripe. Sign shops could even cut out a mustang logo from the stripe.  8-)

tom66

Hmm... Mustang logo in red

Think I might just look into that Idea!

thanks!

No awning thinking I may look into  ordering one though.

I have the anniversary package also, with the AC. I'm assuming your AC is totally fixed in a box inside the camper. Meaning your AC does not stick outside of the walls and you cannot move it.

You did well. I can see from your pic the AC is installed correctly. Some of the 2013 models the AC was improperly installed like mine. I had to do some modifications to mine to allow the AC to breath correctly to cool it's outside coils. It works great now.

You camper looks great by the way. Have fun!!

Here's a quick mockup of the colour stripe idea I mentioned earlier. I tried also adding a Mustang graphic but couldn't get it to look attractive.
