We are new at camping and just got our 2015 11fk at the end of last season.  We absolutely love it!  We did not know that you had to flush the black tank until I read all the forums on this site.  BTW thanks to all for the help you have provided!  Anyway, what is the best way to flush the black tank on my tiny house?

Do you have a back flusher installed?

Do you have a tank monitor installed?

The current LL site indicates you have both, but check.

I don't think we have a back flush but we definitely have the monitor.  I guess I do not know what I am looking for
I just look at the manual and I see nothing about the tank flush in it.

The black tank flush connection is a fitting somewhere on the outside wall, probably several feet above the lower edge. It connects to a garden hose.

I don't see anything I can identify unless it's down low. I see what looks like the black tank hanging down under the left front. I would call Don Neufelder at LL and ask where to look. LL's website says it's on the 11fk. If not you can fill through the toilet with a hose or sprayer or use something like a FlushKing. With the small 8.5 gallon black tank it should be easy to clean even through the toilet. It's not necessary to flush each time you dump; just when you are putting it away between trips.

Meh. A 3# bag or two of ice and a chem tab after dumping should agitate any solid buildup in the black tank just from motion on the way home. I'm thus far of the opinion that a black tank flush is largely unnecessary, and dealt with easily enough when the time comes (~once a year as part of winterizing, or maybe once mid-season as well).

I used our black tank flush for the first time this weekend. I was amazed at the amount of extra stuff that came out of tank when flushing. I have a clear section installed on waste hose so I was able to see what all comes out. My only concern is how does one suggest I winterized that part of system.

The flusher hoses will drain themselves so nothing special needed for winterization.

With our factory installed black tank flusher, a weak flow comes out of the drain when we use it. Nothing like  the flow the hose is capable of. Also, when the hose is disconnected from the black tank flush fitting, water sprays out as though there was pressure built up in the hose. And, I don't hear any "spraying" action going on in the black tank. Does that all sound normal, or does it sound like there may be a clog/pinched hose/defective spray head in the flush system?

Yes, something is kinked or clogged. Check the hoses first, then check the backflow preventer and screen near the input hose connection. Lastly check the spray head. You may be able to connect onto the fitting or the hose feeding it. Maybe you can remove it? Never tried it, but you should hear water spraying and observe lots coming out of the drain.
