We took possession of our Camplite 21BHS today and are very happy with it. We will be checking it out more closely over the next few days and then taking it to Florida in the next month or so. What is the best way to secure it in our driveway? We have looked at a few coupler locks online but would like your opinions.

Congratulations!  We just use a coupler lock (a simple one) but most of all, park the truck in front of the trailer.

Thanks guys. As you can see, I need to do a bit of adjusting to the hitch (lower it a bit) so that's it's closer to level when we tow it. But it towed like a dream behind the Grand Cherokee (I'm glad we opted for the V-8 engine.... plenty of power!) and we also got the Andersen WDH which provides sway control as well. Will try to add some pictures of the interior sometime soon.

Great looking rig! For a coupler lock, we purchased a Masterlock with a key. It is a marine lock, meaning it isn't supposed to rust up or corrode inside. We also have a similar lock for our battery box. Initially, I purchased a regular Masterlock, which did corrode inside after my Camplite had been in storage for 6 weeks. It took several grown men and a lot of WD40 to get it unlocked.

Quick aside and question: Didn't Thor purchase Camplite 2 years ago?  So the trailers of the past year or so have been under the 'Thor rule', yes?  

They moved locations though this past summer so these new ones are being built at the new one-building factory.  Let me know if I've missed something.

I did see two 2016 models in person about a week ago. A 14 and a 16. The Sierra wood cabinets in the 14 weren't too shabby.  I didn't expect to like the Sierra wood cabinets but ended up liking that interior design quite a bit. It felt like a minimalistic hotel room. The wood veneer style cabinets were nasty. Looked cheap. The solid counters and metal sink were much nicer though...made it feel more expensive. However, on one trailer I saw a piece of trim slightly loose but it would be an easy fix. Everything else seemed pretty much the same to me in comparison but others are likely a better judge.

My camper was built in late September- early October last year, and it is a 2015 Camplite. Mr. Tuttle was still there, and although Thor had purchased LL by then, no changes had been made in the process of the business. I was able to have a lot of changes made to my order, so I truly have a custom Camplite 21-BHS.

I can't say with any degree of certainty what has transpired inside the factory, but it seems to me that Thor took time to analyze what the LL factory was doing before making changes, which are taking place now.

Thanks Leslie. We really like it. As for the changes with the new models, they are mostly cosmetic on the interior. No changes to the structure and no changes to most of the materials used. All the models come standard with some features that used to be upgrades, such as solid surface countertops, upgraded sink & faucet, heavy duty coupler (7,000 lbs), and a water heater that is both propane & electric. The outdoor shower and blackout package and porcelain toilet now come standard as well. As you are aware, they don't offer the aluminum cabinet faces any longer, so that is a change as well. We went with the Sierra interior package which as solid maple cabinet faces and it looks nice along with the different Azdel color and design that they have on the interior walls. The body of the cabinets is still aluminum frame. They have also added some valances over the windows which look nice. The window units are still the same and we love them.  There are fewer options that you can choose from now and they won't let anyone custom design their interior anymore like you did. That is probably the biggest change they've implemented since Thor took over. Other than the cosmetic interior changes, the camper is still pretty much the same tried and true CampLite trailer that all of you know and love. I will put some pictures up of our interior on a separate thread because I can't figure out how to add them here. Hopefully you will like the new changes!

From the photos I've seen of the new interiors, it appears that Thor is making some good decisions. I especially like the new counter tops and sinks - much nicer than what we have in ours.

Looks like a keeper to me!

We use just a lock on the coupler.  A regular mil spec pad lock with solid aluminum body and hardened steel shackle.  I have considered other locking mechanisms but realistically, if someone really wants it they can get it.  

GOOD INSURANCE is the key as someone else pointed out.  Pay the extra few dollars a month for the proper coverage and just don't worry about it.
