The biggest disappointment I have with this site is the difficulty encountered in adding photos to the thread. It is WAY easier on liviliteforum.com  and on fiberglassrv.com, a site I participated in many times in the past. I watched the tutorial about how to use Flickr , here, about three times, joined,  and cannot seem to be able to get to the " BB" setting to upload my selected photos to share. I can't seem to copy and paste to these threads, either. I know I am not alone in being a little less computer savvy than others, and I feel like I am a dummy. I wanted to post my $8.00 fix to the step problem, and was going to repost some mods I have made on our Camplite that I easily posted on the other forum. I cannot believe there isn't an easier way to post photos, as doing so is a very important feature of a forum such as this. Can anyone help me? You can sense I am not very happy. I have wasted a lot of time doing something that should be very simple to do.

Agreed. Given the extraordinary ease with which photos can be posted on pretty much every other social site or forum, it's crazy we can't just post them here. I finally figured out Photobucket as a hosting service for this forum, but the list of steps to go through photo by photo is so cumbersome I have to keep it on a card next to the computer. It's easier directly from a device like an iPad, but that's not how I handle my photos. We are all missing LOTS of great content for not having photos easy to post.  From other threads we know there is no solution on the Proboards forums other than paying for more storage.

I would not be disinclined to pay some money to better this site. No one has indicated what such an upgrade would cost. How many of us have pictures to share , but can't figure out how to attach them.??!!

It's really a shame.

I think it's far harder than it needs to be but it's what we have to work with right now.  :P

[ol type="decimal"][li]Go to your Flickr account and sign in, or create an account.
[/li][li]If you have not already, upload a picture to Flickr (there are several ways to do this)
[/li][li]Select the picture you want from the Photostream (or an album if you have one)
[/li][li]Once the picture is open,
[/li][li]Below and to the right are four icons.
[/li][li]One is a curvy little arrow (pointing to the right)
[/li][li]If you hover over it, it says "Share Photo"
[/li][li]Click on it
[/li][li]A window opens with four options: Share Embed Email and BBCode
[/li][li]Click on BBCode[/li][li]The resulting window now has the BBCode you will need, already highlighted in blue, and a pulldown for the size of the preview you will embed. I usually select Medium 500 × 373
[/li][li]Copy the BBCode.
[/li][li]HERE'S THE TRICKY PART: At the bottom of the Create Post window on this forum are two buttons marked Preview and BBCode. [/li][li]YOU NEED TO SWITCH FROM PREVIEW TO BBCode.[/li][li]Now paste in the BBCode that is already on your clipboard:[/li][li][a href="https://flic.kr/p/8NAAnY"]

I was so surprised that I was able to simply post a picture from my Flickr by copying the BBCode and pasting it in directly that I am trying it again to insure that it really works that simply:

[a href="https://flic.kr/p/x67d5Q"]
[img style="max-width:100%;" src="https://farm1.staticflickr.com/775/20404853608_4c72eee7f3.jpg"][/a][a href="https://flic.kr/p/x67d5Q"]Cottonwood Camp Redux[/a] by [a href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/43619751@N06/"]Chuck Haacker[/a], on Flickr
And I'll be darned, IT DOES!

Here's all I did:

[ol type="decimal"][li]I selected the above picture in my Flickr pages, went to the little bendy arrow below (and to the right of) it, and clicked on it.[/li][li]The window that opened gave me the four options: Share Embed Email and BBCode[/li][li]I clicked on BBCode, copied the already highlighted code, and came back over here[/li][li]Where I pasted in the code while still in preview mode.[/li][li]THEN NOTHING SEEMED TO HAPPEN[/li][li]BUT...[/li][li]When I switched, here in the forum, from "Preview" to "BBCode" ---AND BACK...[/li][li]Voila! There it was! [/li][li]That seems a little easier than what I spelled out before[/li][li]REALLY hope it helps!!!  ::)[/li][/ol][div][span style="font-size:13.3333px;"]
(By the way, yes, I have taken hundreds (!!!) of pictures of Rose, partly because yes, I love her, but also my wife runs when she sees a camera coming but Rosie is stuck!  (rofl) )[/span][/div]

Thanks for taking the time for the instruction, Chuck 893. I am giving it another try.

Here's a video I did a while back.

Might be minor differences with different platforms or user interfaces, but this is what works for me:

I have created an album. I have marked each photo in the album bbcode. I use a MAC. I copy the album, BUT only get  " grab link or HTML embed choices.....no BBcode option. My wife just spent 20 minutes trying to help me. This is BEYOND frustrating!!

I was able to BBcode the TP picture but can't seem to get the BBcode option on an album of 5 photos I created. I give

If the board were tapatalk enabled, using tapatalk to post a photo actually uploads it to tapatalk's servers and puts the code in for you. I don't know what it would take to do that - it may be that the proboard software is not tapatalk compatible.

I dislike using flikr or any of the others, because (a) you need to open and maintain an account and (b) you can't keep photos segregated from others you may have posted and don't want to make public to the same audience.

I just posted this pic using tap talk. It seems to be working now. Your right earlier it wasn't working.

[/quote][font size="3"][/font]Agreed the third party photo sites are a PITA, but that's what we have. Some other sites allow direct photo posting, some do not. IMGUR, which I use, does allow segregation of photos. I have all my camper mod photos in one gallery/folder and only the one I link to is available.

My problem still is not being able to upload an entire album  of about 5 or 6 photos

IMGUR lets you select multiples and then lets you upload or download as a group. Not sure what Flickr or Photobucket will do. Either way you will have to select and place each picture separately if you want to put words between them on the post. [/font]

I just tried it every way I could think of and it will not work with a Flickr album (as you noted there is no BBCode provided for an album). The only thing I can see that works is to copy the "Share" URL and Click on the little "Link" button in the menu at the top of the Create Post box (just to the right of the "Horizontal Rule"). [a href="https://www.flickr.com/gp/43619751@N06/jt7oz5"]That's what I just did here to link to Rosie's own album on Flickr.[/a] If you click on the link it takes you straight to the album, but the pictures do not appear here in the forum. Otherwise, using Flickr at any rate, you have to do them one at a time as described elsewhere. Sorry!  :P
