Pretty bummed out right now! Just found out the rv dealership will no longer sell livin lite. We were going to get them to order a loaded 21 bhs. Does anyone know of some dealerships in GA, TN, MS, AL that have good prices on these? Also, any ideas on a good/fair price we should be looking at for one that has most of the options?
Thank you for your help!

Southland RV near Atlanta is showing 2015 Camplites in stock - http://www.southlandrv.com/  They have decent prices.  In fact we used their prices to get a better deal down here in FL.

While they sell online, they operate out of a dealer in Mississippi.  We didn't buy from them, but they were very responsive when I did look into what they had, and I was impressed.

Karen and I live in extreme N GA, but routinely are back and forth to Knoxville, making Boat N RV in Rockwood, TN convenient. Our actual nearest dealer was in Buford, GA, but when we called they did not have a 21BHS in stock.

Boat N RV only had a black one, and we were not interested in black but wanted to see a 21BHS in person. Here it was:

We would overall  recommend Sunny Island RV in Rockford, IL. I know its a ways to go, but we thought it was worth it. More details and photos in the thread about picking up our 21BHS.

fasteddieb,

That picture of you and your wife picking up your 21BHS makes me want to drive ours out of the driveway.  Ours is the same color scheme so it looks just like yours.  At least we'll be spending Mother's Day weekend camping (Thursday - Monday).

I don't know where you are, but I can add a strong recommendation for LittleCampersDirect in MS. We bought our 21RBS from salesman Tommy who was very easy to work with and helpful. With many factory options, some custom designed to my specifications, the pickup price was just north on $30K. He even sold our RPod on consignment. Overall a good experience.

Southland in Georgia has some nice 21 foot LivinLites.  We have dealt with D&H RV in Apex, NC. The owner, Dave, is pretty easy to work with.  They just got some 21RBH's in (some with the new flooring).  They also deliver withing 500 miles for free.

Yep!!  New flooring is an option with the 2015 models.  Look at D&H RV Center in Apex, NC website.

Just realized that I typed in the wrong letters.  Should be 21RBS
I am just beginning to research this brand of travel trailer and you may have the answer to my first question:  I have read that water can seep up through the floors if it is raining hard and you are towing the trailer.  Does the new flooring fix that?  If not, does the foam insulation option fix that?  And can you describe what the new flooring is?

livinthegoodlife

funpilot,
I have not heard that the water can seep through the floors if it is raining hard.  We came through some pretty heavy rain when we picked our unit up and the floor was dry as a bone when we got home.  We drove seven hours back home when we picked our unit up through a rainstorm and then a snowstorm. I believe the new flooring that LivinLite is putting in as an option in the 2015's is a vinyl that may be glued somehow to the aluminum flooring. I am not sure if that is what it is or not. If water would seep in, I don't believe that the flooring would stay down very well. You can call customer service at LivinLite and ask. They are very helpful and seem to do their homework. I don't think they would put anything down that wouldn't work. This option came out after we had bought our unit.  We used a flooring that they use in garages and basements. It is sold in Lowe's in the flooring section. I did some research on interlocking tiles and found the same flooring much cheaper from Elite Flooring: http://www.elitegaragefloors.com/flexi-tile-natural-stone/  The tiles fit together very well. When they snap together, they look just like a tiled floor (no grout needed) The bottom is waffled to let air circulate if there is any dampness.  Also mildew and mold resistant. I hope this helps you and others out. We had researched this brand for the last two years and are soooo happy that we went with it.  We upgraded from an A-frame pop-up and previously owned two other pop-ups.

Just curious about dealer pricing.  Typical discount looks like it is 10% off of MSRP while everything else I am looking at is easily 30% +.  Any thoughts as to why the discounts are so low?

livinthegoodlife

I think it has to do with maybe how long they have been sitting on the lot.  Maybe the dealer want to make room for newer units coming in. Just do your homework to find the best deal. You might have to travel a ways to get the one that you want for the price you want.

So, it is not the case that the MSRP markup is much less here but just how good someone can negotiate then?

Funpilot,
We have had our 13QBB since Feb '13.  We took it on 6 trips of approx 300 miles and 25 trips of 90 miles.  We have been through light rain to heavy rain while traveling.  We have never had water seep through the floors.  I have noticed early on that rain water thrown up from the tires that made its way inside the cabinet from the wheel well, though not a lot.  I ran a bead of silicon caulk around the inside of the wheel well to the flooring.  Also did the same from the outside.  Problem solved.  I spoke with a company rep about this and he said it would be a good idea to do this when it is being built.   Again, no water ever seeped through the floor.  Just our experience...and we have had it out a lot.
