Well I have been interested in either an 8.0 or an 8.1 Quicksilver, found a dealer here in Tucson, talked to a salesman on the phone, asked some questions about an 8.0 they showed on their lot from their website, he never returned my call.

Found a Camperworld dealer in Phoenix, they showed several on their website, emailed twice about an 8.1, never heard back from them.  One wonders how these places stay in business and their service after the sale.  Seems like all the Quicksilvers I see have AC's installed, I have no use for an AC and am trying to find an 8.0 or 8.1 with our an AC within reasonable driving distance of Tucson, AZ.

I'll keep researching.

Would not rule out a unit with an ac. You may find it useful on occasion and would make it easier on resale.

I had a Chalet with A/C. Only used it once in all the years I owned it, but boy, was it worth it that trip!  Southern Oregon in August, 99 degrees. I'm a Portlander, we don't do heat.

Well my view on an AC is that one must be hooked up to shore power to use it, in years past I have owned 2 truck campers and 2 tent trailers and along with my current tent camping I have never had a use for AC and have never been in a "campground" that had power.  My reason to go camping is to escape the heat in Tucson in the summer and hike and photograph in the higher cooler elevations.  I am really only looking to upgrade from my tent and get off the ground and have an rv that I can stand up in and also get out of the rain.  I have looked at hard sided A frame trailers, I like the easy setup but they all come with equipment that I have no use for.  I always cook outdoors and own a camp stove so have no need for even a stove in my trailer.  I am looking for a camper that is low maintenance, easy to setup and tow and has fewer things to break, the QuickSilvers seem to fit that requirement although I have a few concerns about solo setup.  One other rv that interests me is the new Cricket but costs way more then I want to spend.

Looks they all have AC, including the 6.0 models. Used 10 in Dewey, Arizona. We have a 8.0 model, no AC. We just camp at higher elevations. If you enjoy hiking AZ, visit [a href="http://www.hikearizona.com"]www.hikearizona.com[/a]

or just purchase one with AC unit, and take out the unit. you'll have a storage spot ? the new ones don't come with doors, they're just covered ?
