Broken zipper tab on a 6.0

The outside zipper tab on the door of my QS 6.0 broke off.  The zipper itself is fine but the tab (the small part that you hold to zip or unzip the door) broke completely off.  I've been opening the door by reaching in and using the tab on the inside.  Awkward, but it works.  Has anyone ever replaced a broken tab before?

I've heard of people replacing the tab in a couple of ways. I personally have just used a replacement pull thats came off an old jacket. The pull is more string like, and its not ideal b/c it tend to let the zipper stick at times, but it gets the job done.

I've seen others replace the entire joint. If I'm not mistaken a user on the boards recommended a product like this: http://www.amazon.com/Jobar-JB6380-Qwik-Fix-Zipper/dp/B0098OMGXI/ref=pd_sim_hg_6?ie=UTF8&refRID=1YWSZYRP65XJ8G53NJXQ I believe it was a different brand though (and i'm being lazy not doing a quick search to find the post).

Last option I've seen is to have a professional shop do the repair. I've I was going to a pro shop, I'd have them add a little slack into the zipper as well since our tent material around the door seems to have a large amount of stress a lot of times.

I've never used this, but I've kept it bookmarked just in case I should ever need to replace the slider. Might be worth checking out as a possible solution.

Thanks, guys- both good possibilities.  My next camping trip is over Memorial Day weekend and I'll try to tackle this repair while the camper is all set up.  I have not had any other issues with my 6.0 so I'm glad for that.

Mine broke off as well on both sides. Really frustrating.

You could just use a snap ring like you have on key rings if the hole in the zipper is big enough to take it. Cheap enough fix. Used one on a tent before and it worked fine.

I ordered the fixnzip yesterday and will give a report later on.  Looks like it will do the trick.  The ordering process was great. I received one email thanking me for the order, another stating that the order was being processed, and a third stating that the order had been shipped with a link to tracking information.  I wish that my recent order with LivinLite was similar.  I placed a phone order for an awning two weeks ago and have heard nothing.  I thought that two weeks was enough time so I emailed the company asking about the status of the order. I did receive a reply back the next day stating that they had my order and were "hoping" that they could send it out soon and they would "try" to let me know more.  In other words, my order from two weeks ago had not even been processed yet and I could not even be told an approximate day that it would be sent.  What a contrast between the two companies!  A bit disappointing.  Sorry for the rant, but I'm not sure if this is typical for ordering from the manufacturer or not.
