July 16, 2015, 09:54:41 PM
We stop at 2 walmart on our way to detroit and after to myrtle beach. Use the walmart app first and ask the manager and there was no problem. Not a quiet place, one was a 24h open but with the two celing fan on it was good and get a good night sleep.

I have done mine (16db) reseal from the inside and the outside around the wheel and yesterday while driving from oshawa to Detroit on heavy rain and wind, no Water under the sink and under the sofa, hope these do the trick.

Tow Rigs / Jeep Wrangler Unlimited & Camlite
June 28, 2015, 10:30:36 PM
Hi cowfly,

i tow a cl16db with my unlimited 2012 but its a 6 speed manual. Il you have the tow package, you are gear 3.73 as i am and you Will have a lot or torque on low speed. The jeep have electronic anti-sway control and i dont use any Sway control system and its driving good, only a Litle bumpy for back passenger due to stifness of suspension and offroad tire. I am on the edge with my 16db and have to travel real lite but i Think you Will have a pefect setup with a 13bhb.

Hi guys, thx for your kind advice, but I am aware that I am on the edge with my rig, but that my choice, so I travel light, no bbq, no water, no food,  my rockwood roo hits the scale at 3400 (rated 2750lb) with camping gear  and it's obvious that the camplite is lighter than my previous roo.i am going to weight the tongue next summer because I suspect that it is lighter than 345.

Hi there,

Like it have been said before I wouldn't tow with a 2 doors Jeep Wrangler.it is rated 2000lb and have a short wheelbase. Back in 2005 to 2009, I towed a rockwood roo 17 feet hybrid trailer, rated 2700lb with my wrangler unlimited 2005 185hp 6 speed manual, gear 3.73. It was rated 3500lb tow. I had plenty of power on 4 first speed, but on 5 at highway speed with wind in front in was painfull to keep 100km/h and was really hungry on gas. The wrangler was my choice, so I wait for a more powerful engine ( since 2012 wrangler is 285hp) and choose a camplite, all aluminium, light and hope to be durable.

We only towed it for short vacation last year but it was day and knight. I was a little nervous to tow with out a sway bar, but ride was great beside a little bumpy, I think it's to light upfront ( I can lift it by hand) I am going to put a second propane tank to put weight upfront and fire the little red campfire...this summer we are going to Detroit and myrtle beach so I will have feedback for longer trip.

hope that help...its a jeep thing !

Hi rgally, sory about the delay, but didn't see you post before. Towing the 16db is an easy Tow with the jeep, only a little bumpy without an Anderson hitch or else. Jeep is gear 3.73 and it is 6 speed shift. I usualy do about 18 litres/100km ( 16mpg )
