curtain for rear bed?

We have 21 front bed.  I was wondering if any of you have installed a curtain at the end of the bed.
I wake way before Grant, and in the A-liner, I kept my coffee pot outside to avoid waking him.
Had to walk to outhouse anyway, and stayed out with dog.
Any suggestions would be helpful....

My grand daughters want me to install this curtain.  Run on a wire.  They said seeing me in my skivees was too much to handle.

Hi Shovelhead,  is this in camper?  How do you know where to screw in?  I was thinking of black-out curtains
that would weigh more...any ideas?

I haven't  done it.  In the planning stages too.  I just think the "wire" type would weigh less and easier to suspend from the ceiling.

I agree about the cable. Any way to guess at alum stud for screws?
We have the tape/track at work on windows, and they can mount AT ceiling, but on wall.
We could mount a 2x2 to the ceiling to mount on the side of it, but cable looks easier.
For heavier curtains, grommets and shower curtain rings on cable...

There are myriad of roll up curtains, both manual and electric, there are some spring type as well but usually not that big.

I was leaning toward hospital curtain track and hardware, with black out cloth. 

As far as finding studs, very short sheet metal screws, should do the trick, no studs necessary, just use short 3/8" screws, or 1/2" screws.  Watch the video on the travel Trailer page and you can see a short screw will be fine.  Double them up (use twice as many) and use 2 sided tape.  Drill pilot holes, and extra holes in track as necessary. 

I was thinking of making it curved just a little.  Velcro or snap loop one one side to keep it out of the way when not in use.

Also, if you were going to attach something to a wall or ceiling permanently, how well would pop rivets work?

Pop rivets should work fine.  I am thinking large retractable movie screen, disassembled and replaced with black out cloth.

Just a thought, hospital curtain track would be much easier, but the idea of a totally custom retractable screen, how cool is that?

Anyways, I will keep looking and be well on my way to an idea when the TT arrives home.

I think Tincan's suggestion to use hospital type track mounted directly to the ceiling is the right way to go. I think his comment that the track could also be bowed is well worth noting. Doing that would make it like those hotel room shower curtains with bowed tracks that make the curtained enclosure more spacious. 

With regards to those hospital type curtains --- I have specified them on construction projects many times. I'd suggest buying the curtain from an actual supplier of hospital type curtains. Most that they supply in medical facilities are custom-sized so there'll be no problem getting the exact size you want. Another benefit is they only use fabrics with flame retardants. They are also typically machine washable. Privacy & blackout versions are available. There is also the option to get ventilated mesh for the top of the curtain.

Lastly I note hospital type curtains are designed to pull free of the track if you you get tangled in the curtain and fall. Its a bummer if you want to commit suicide but it could keep the grandkids from damaging your trailer by pulling on the curtain.

We used the 3Mwall hooks and bent the hooks to hold a small curtain rod. Then we took half of a package of curtain accents and it worked perfectly to cover both the top bunk and bottom.

I'm sure it's difficult to visualize, but the TT is still in storage so I can't share a pic.

The 3M wall hooks stick to the ceiling great and will remove easily should we need to.
