Hello,

This scale is perfect for those who really want to help calculate and balance out their rig.

I have one but have not always been completely sure how accurate it is.  I think mine has a plus/minus of 25 pounds.

I'd love to have one, but $140 is lot for a mechanical scale?

Have to agree on the price.  If it weren't a birthday gift I wouldn't have one.

I need something like this. Bucking the limits of our tow vehicle so it's crucial to me. I look at my bathroom scale with a glass top and it has a 400lb capacity. Thinking about trying it but would rather get one like this.

Brother, this is getting pricey fast.

This subject has already been covered in detail on this forum, do a keyword search. IMO this bottle jack scale is the best option and it can do double duty as a jack. Try and use a good liquid filled gauge. http://www.shoptalkforums.com/viewtopic.php?t=125881

Great link James....BTW your avatar is for Tanker right?  My uncle drove in WWII "Red Devils" 702nd.

[p]I agree. Two good solutions here. The second sounds like it can be had a bit cheaper at ~$100 plus shipping. It would add around 14lbs though. This means nothing to most of you sensible pilots I'm sure as it shouldn't with the right combo to begin with.

Another option is Weigh Safe. This one allows you to be able to read tongue weight while going down the highway if you climb out the bed and hang over the tailgate. [/p][p]Waaay of the mark pricewise. Poor resolution.

Any conciliation,  I bought at eTrailer  and shipping was free (> $99) and no sales tax.

I've been using the Sherline for 10 years now, excellent tool.

I'm on my 2nd Sherline and even though it is a nice tool to have I recently picked up the Weigh Safe Hitch Ball.
