Just back from my first trip with the F-150/13QBB combination (used to be Tacoma/13QBB), about 600 miles round trip averaged 13.8 mpg.  On the highway I stayed at about 60 mph although because this truck has the 3.5L ecoboost engine I could have done whatever I wanted and never would have noticed the trailer anyway.  This MPG is slightly better then the Tacoma.

Since the truck has tow/haul mode I used cruise control as much as possible and it did a good job of shifting at the right times, probably better than I would have done manually.  The trip  was not in a particularly hilly area though.

Hi, I have almost the same combo than you except that I have the 2.7L Ecoboost and on my last trip I was close to about the same MPG than you but it was a shorter trip and there was a lot of hills!

That is really good mileage! We just got back from a trip to the Idaho Panhandle National Forest, which required crossing two mountain ranges. With two motorcycles, a generator, full water tanks, etc, we were probably over 5500 lbs total weight. We got 11.4 MPG with our 5.0L on the trip out, but on the trip home it dropped to 10.2, likely because we were fighting a strong headwind from Spokane to George.
