This is what is inside your fresh water tank!

Ew! You have a new 2015! How soon did you pull that out of the fresh water tank? Is it possible it was shipped to you like that?

We use a Culligan whole house water filter on the white hose that we hook up to the shore water supply. It has a clear plastic housing so that we can see when the filter turns brown and needs changing.

I am wondering now if we need something more inside our Camplite.

It's a fine screen filter in the housing in the water line right before the water pump. Lots of tank installation debris in that one, so it did it's job.

No, I did not know there was a filter installed by the factory just before the water pump. That is a really good feature. I showed the picture to my husband, and when we are down in Florida this winter, we will take that hose apart and clean out that filter. This should be done every year to save the water pump. This was not in the owners manual and it should be. If anyone finds a reference to it in their owners manual, please let me know.

That is a nice bit of info, I'll check mine out Tomorrow.

Here is what you're looking for. The screen is in the round housing with the white label in the water pump inlet line.

Ah, the dreaded honey do list grows longer.

Thanks Merlin. That's good to know. Will check that periodically.

I've checked mine twice now, clear as it can be since I've owned my Bearcat.
