Others have posted modification lists that I have found very useful for ideas. In that same spirit, here's what my wife and I have done on the inside to our CL in the first year of ownership. I will separately post the mods we did to the outside and annotated both lists with some subjective comments. Most of these mods and equipment are pretty basic stuff that many others have done. Some really should be standard OEM. Brand names are not an endorsement, just noted so that others can look things up if interested.

1.   Progressive Industries EMS-HW30C electrical protection
Peace of mind is worth it and the little monitor is cute. It's already saved us from a brown-out. Tight to install in electrical cabinet.
2.   Coleman-Mach heating coil in Polar Cub ceiling AC
Worth it for gentle heat on low fan to take the chill off. Raises the interior temperature to a comfortable level using shore power
3.   LuxPro digital thermostat-heat only
Much needed upgrade for furnace thermostat
4.   Samlex 300 watt sine wave inverter
Great inverter that provides power for the TV and other light duty 120Vwhen not on shore power
5.   Labeled circuit breakers and fuses
Should have been done at the factory: what were they thinking?
6.   Hengs 3-speed reversible replacement fan in living room vent
Much better than the original single speed for noise and versatility. Easy to install, working from only the inside.
7.   Camco electric element in water heater
Hot water with shore power (propane is still usable)
8.   Infinity Kappa 62.11i speakers (4) in the ceiling
My favorite vehicle speakers. Stellar sound at any volume
9.   Clarion 300 watt Amplifier in radio cabinet
Needed boost for OEM Jensen head unit, installed in series with speaker wiring and turns on with head unit.
10.   Samsung 22" HD TV (120VAC)
A really nice 1080P TV that has flexible inputs for entertainment, including iPhones and iPads
11.   DROK 12VDC digital clock in bulkhead over the television
Convenient to check on the time at night
12.   LED stick-on battery light in compartment over the refrigerator.
That compartment is too dark at night because opening the compartment door covers the regular ceiling light
13.   Safe-er-Grip handle in shower   
A great addition for safety and convenience, will probably add another
14.   Irvine pleated folding shower door
Wonderful addition to the shower compared to plastic curtain
15.   Oxygenics shower head with shut-off
Not sure why others like this. Ok, but nothing special
16.   Bathroom door inside full-length mirror from Wal Mart
Makes bathroom seem much larger
17.   Command round mirror in shower
Nice for shaving in the shower
18.   Bucket in shower to catch water while waiting for hot water to arrive
Saves grey tank space
19.   D&W Handy Sink in shower with Phoenix diverter faucet and soap dispenser
A really useful addition to trailer for hand washing in the bathroom. The sink drains into a bucket to save grey tank space.
20.   Brita faucet filter on kitchen sink
It's wonderful having carbon filtered water at the sink
21.   Bamboo sink cover/cutting board
Nice to have for additional counter space
22.   Bamboo cooktop cover/cutting board over glass cooktop
Nice to have and protects stove cover glass
23.   Paper towel holder
Essential in kitchen; should come standard
24.   Camco 12X12 folding oak shelf under corner counter in kitchen
 Any extra kitchen counter space is useful (yes, even if wood). Similar to the corner folding counter extension in the 21RBS
25.   Rubbermaid drawers (2 high) in cabinet below cooktop
Very useful storage space and adds needed drawers in the kitchen
26.   Double-decker 18" lazy susan racks in cabinet over refrigerator
Lots of much more useful storage with the lazy susans on a custom wood rack. Also added 12" lazy susans to the bottom kitchen cabinet
27.   Plastic dish-washing pans
Substitutes for silly OEM sink
28.   Camco refrigerator and cabinet security bars (4 total)
Good safety and utility addition
29.   IncStores interlocking 5/8" oak colored foam tiles on entire floor
Very nice addition for sound, comfort, and temperature control
30.   Rubbermaid drawers (4 high) between twin beds
Very useful storage space
31.   Mattress Insider 8" Cool-Max RV twin mattresses (2)
Very comfortable
32.   Command hooks and storage everywhere
Duh, but don't stick well to the Azdel when cold
33.   MaidSmart trays on shelf behind sofa in slide-out(5)
Really useful for corralling stuff that would fall behind the sofa
34.   Carpeted scatter rugs (4),  plus inside and outside doormats
Protects the foam flooring and helps corral dog feet dirt
35.   Camco screen door safety grill-lower part of the entry door
Important safety for the dogs
36.   Kidde 1A-10BC fire extinguisher upgrade
Can't have too much fire-fighting capacity. There is a second one in the tow vehicle
37.   Ambient Weather wireless weather station
Great fun for us weather junkies who check the barograph every time we come and go
38.   Insulating inside covers for vents and skylights
Homemade out of aluminized bubble wrap type insulation and Velcro
39.   Glow in the dark tape on all switches
Helpful at night
40.   Garelick table pedestals for creating a table using the TBS bed insert
From the boating world. Two additional removable tables, one in front of the sofa and one between the twin beds for really useful horizontal surfaces. The floor mount is flush with the foam when the tables are stowed
41.   Hinged the water compartment access door under the bed with piano hinge
Easy access to water heater and water pump when needed
42.   Foamular 1" sheet insulation inside cabinets and compartments
The extra insulation is great for sound and temperature control
43.   Armacell foam insulation on pipes, where accessible.
I wish pipe insulation came standard from the factory because most of it is hard to access. Prevents condensate dripping from cold piping and retains hot water in hot piping
44.   Dynamat and FatMat insulation/sound control for AC unit inside and out
The Coleman Mach Polar Cub is extremely noisy inside and out when the AC compressor is on. This extra insulation did not help much

This is just incredible.  When we take delivery on ours and start to understand it better, I'm going to go through this list and see what I can learn....

Here is the table I made out of the support that goes between the twin beds in the 16TBS by adding a pedestal system from Garlick. As an aside, note the wonderful thick Cool Max mattresses from Mattress Insider.


The floor attachment plate for the Garlick pedestal table is flush with the hole in the foam flooring and carpet, so nothing sticks up to trip on when the table is stowed. Locking bayonet mount makes removal easy

The table on the pedestal in front of the sofa. The pedestal is removable from the table top (and of course from the floor!) and also allows the table to rotate to ease access to the seating.

The Camplites need all the extra insulation you care to install!

My homemade interior vent covers for cold nights/hot days when the leaky, uninsulated vents waste heat/cold. Just foil covered bubble-wrap stuck on with velcro. The insulation is commercially available in any home improvement store.

I added 1"Foamular insulation in the spaces between the aluminum frames wherever I had access to unfinished areas (still need to do the pass-through on the living side).

The IncStores oak 5/8" interlocking foam tiles on the entire floor, including under the beds and in the bathroom.

The  22" Samsung HD TV on the TV mount, the 12VDC clock in the Command tray for use at night, the Samlex 300 watt sine wave inverter mounted on the cabinet over the TV (for the TV when "off the grid"), and Command trays for remotes and iPhones.

The Ambient Weather wireless indoor/outdoor weather station, Progressive Industries EMS-HW30C monitor, and Luxpro digital thermostat. The outdoor monitor for the weather station normally lives in/on the tongue box.

I replaced the single speed Heng's turbo vans with Heng's 3-speed reversible units. Cheap and very easy mod, working only from the inside. Much better noise and air flow control.

FYI, a regular 1A10BC extinguisher fits fine in the OEM location and is not in the way. TANSTATMFFC (There ain't no such thing as too much fire fighting capacity).
