[p]How 'bout some Shelfies?[/p][p]
[/p][p]This is the only stick of wood in our camper. Still need to stain, trim the 12v cord and cover those holes from relocating the TV to the bed area. The USB charger rocks. 3x 2.4A and 2 1A ports. 12" cables for a no tangle implementation.[/p][p]
[/p][p]Feel aweful about the wood though but at least it's quality wood....[/p][p]

We forgive the wood thing... Looks good

Thanks for the absolution, Shovelhead.

It is a slippery slope. Wood is so easy. Too much of this organic matter and it could all go to pot. If someone goes inside and squints after a few fireside libations they may confuse this trailer with a Forest River or something. That could get ugly.

Kidding of course for those reading that may be owners of stick builts.

Whoofit, you set yourself up for abuse:  A few wise-arse comments....Pick your favorite:

Billet aluminum or stainless would be stronger.

Wood is for campfires.

You're hurting my eyes with all that wood.

first drop of water that wood will instantly rot.

At least paint it metal color.

C'mon, ya'LL...wood you just cut it out?  :)   I like it when Whoofit is being 'shelfish'.

Interesting to consider that as he gets grief for using wood (in jest, of course) that someone else just posted a LL camper sighting....with the whole exterior blinged out in WOODLAND CAMO!!!  YEEHAW!  Best of both worlds!  After all of the unwanted attention given our shiny aluminum exterior, especially from wildlife, I dig this idea!  (Now where did I put my 'Duck Dynasty' masking tape?)

[/p][p]This is the first IKEA purchase she made that I didn't resist.

[/p][p]Now that would be something. Bet it looked great too. But you'd be trading a woodpecker problem for beavers. Rangers would be scratching their heads on that dam..heh heh heh.[/p][p]
[/p][p]Gotta say the camo gun tape hadn't crossed my mind till now. Maybe have it hydro dipped some nice Mossy Oak too! Or get real clever and hydro dip it in aluminum diamond plate pattern for a real brain tease. "It's wood....or is it?"

Whoofit - Do you really have five 'devices' that need to be plugged in at the same time?  You must have more gadgets than James Bond. 8-) (What cool stuff does that watch do? Laser? Super-magnet?)

I try to look specifically for micro USB as our preferred charging method when buying devices. It helps to keep things compatible with fewer cable types around the house. It doesn't solve all issues though with different resistance ID's for various manufacturers.[/p][p]
[/p][p]We charge 18650 batteries there, cameras, HTC One M9, Samsung S6, Samsung Tab4 an iPod. Finally I will drive the Wilson DT4G Cell Booster from it as well. [/p][p]
[/p][p]The watch is a Suunto Ambit2. She has a Garmin Forerunner210 that charges this way too. Here is what the Suunto did for me on a cross-state thru-hike last summer. http://www.movescount.com/moves/move36155548

Here's our solution, a wicker basket serving that same purpose:

[/p][p]I vote we cut fasteddie some slack on the wood thing. Although it is organic, wicker just looks so cool it deserves an exception...

[/quote][p]But how do you get all those annoying calls from people wanting you to upgrade your merchant account when you have none? Or wanting to gift you a free Caribbean cruise? Or asking to speak with Jimmy Z?[/p][p]
