To rkreycik...no I did not mount into a frame member.  In considering the placement of the tract I just made sure the slide being put out or retracted did not interfere with the tract.  Using the small, short sheet-metal screws to attach the post to the ceiling, the flat area of the post is sufficient area so that when you snug the screw it provides a good solid mount.
