Camplite Travel Trailers / A Thor Thubject

I my be giving away my age here, but when I grew up, terms like " monopoly " and "buyout" were bad words. Sherman Anti Trust, Taft Hartley....even Teddy Roosevelt
worked to control the dangers of huge conglomerates. Nowadays, there are something like four airlines in the US, and competition seems to be a thing of the past. Recently, Thor purchased Jayco, a long time family owned rv company, for $576 million. They already bought out companies like Airstream, Keystone, Damon....you get the drift, and, of course, Livin Lite. I wonder if any of these companies have improved their product since being taken over by Thor? There has been lots of discussion on this site about changes made to the Livin Lite legacy by Thor, such as one piece, all aluminum roof ( now rubber ), full piano hinge aluminum/composite cabinets ( now cheap wood with standard european hinges ) and others. Personally, these were the features, along with the aluminum framing, that attracted me to LL in the first place. The " no wood to rot " banner screamed out to me. Had to have it. Now, to add insult to injury, the brains behind Thor have pulled the support from this wonderful forum. Instead of reading what we discuss here, and perhaps improving the product, they chose to axe it, and shut out the dialogue. I, for one, am obviously not a fan of Thor, in any regard. Their move to do away with this site just gives me more cause to wish them ill. I will miss you guys. Happy Trails.........

We bought ours from Dave at D&H, unseen. Had to travel four hours to North Carolina. We had a very good experience with him and his organization, and they were very helpful in resolving that mysterious "venting" problem discussed, at length on this forum. I encourage anyone interested, to do business with them. Good people.

I can see people Googling " Livin Lite reviews".....which is how I get info on different RV's ( and recently, cars ). Maybe that, or " Livin Lite forums will get them to the new site. Man, I'm gonna miss this site :-[  :-[

Will there be a way that non members of the new site can find the aluminium site from a Google search?? Lots of times, I am directed to other forums sites when I pose a question, i.e, what can I tow behind a MH, or how do I repair an awning on my Livin Lite.....you get the drift.

I would never think of looking under aluminum..???!!! What happened to the pro boards Livin Lite site??

Boy, I 'm gonna' miss this  :'(   Forum

I am not the most "savvy" guy when it comes to the computer stuff. There are lots of previous posts, life my $8 step fix, that I would like to copy/paste. I just tried, unsuccessfully, to copy/paste my " for sale ad there, and upload some pictures of my trailer, with no luck. Wasted time. Tried TWICE!!! Do you check BOTH sites now? I check this one a few times a day, just for grins!  8-)  8-)  8-)  Happy Trails.......

I sure hope that someone with the technical ability will figure out how to copy/paste all these posts. Some of them are INVALUABLE to Livin Lite owners....me being one. I have learned so much here and enjoyed the feedback from members. We simply cannot lose this information. Another BALCK EYE for Thor. Has any rv company done better after they take over? I know there are a lot of Airstream owners out there that have " issues". And they own so many other companies. Please, someone, save these posts!!!!Thanks

I have sent a PM to djmiller requesting the bolts, but have not, as yet, gotten any response. Am I doing something wrong?

Camplite Travel Trailers / 21BHS just ordered...!

Hate to be a spoiler, but doesn't he risk violating the warranty if he modifies the bumper. I think I waited til after the one year? to beef up my bumper for my Swagman Bike Rack ( which I LOVE ! ) Correct me if I'm wrong.

I have seen those posts. I have never had any trouble with this issue, BUT I am very annoyed that it isn't being handled as a " recall" issue. The idea of having Camping World do the work gets my vote. I simply don't have the proper tools to do this at this time. Looks like I'll have to borrow them or pay someone to have this done ?? I have the  2" ball, but what irks me is that I have a VERY EXPENSIVE Andersen hitch. The irony is that they first sent me a 2-5/16" ball, which I had to send back!!! I will be sending djmiller a pm to get the bolts. thanks for allowing me to " vent ".

So do you drill the holes in the side of the coupler?? I want the bolts and a schematic. This should made a little more clear. Pictures?? How to??

For Sale / GLEAMB IS SELLING OUR 2015 21 RBS

We are discussing relocating the trailer to the Dallas, Texas area. We think that it is a more " central " location for any potential buyers. I will probably do this before Christmas, and will then update my listings on Craigslist, RVT.com, etc. Just wanted to let the "Livin' Lite " enthusiasts know!! Maybe someone wants to fit it under their tree??!! ;)
