would a dedicated hot plate cooking item that lives in the camper 100 percent of the time qualify ?

does it have to be working ?  *grin*  get a hotplate, permanently install it. cut off the cord.

or leave cord =- just never plug it in. - I would do something like this

but again this is heavy duty, strong and its for my kitchen aid mixer at home, but something you could do, like hot plate on the shelf, and just store it away all the time - but issue is maybe the space for this wouldn't work.

It's a Livin Lite 6.0 so not a lot of space on the inside but I do have a rear deck. Any thoughts on how to comply with this silly rule?
Interesting.  My insurance company never asked that question when we insured our 6.0 or 16 TBS. Might want to get a quote from another insurance company.

AAA didn't care either. My accountant did say if we want to write it off it has to have a "kitchen" ...in order to be considered a second home.

What are you trying to insure it as? Mine gave no such restriction on the 10.0, but I remember back in the day my parents had a camper that qualified for a better rate because it had a permanent bathroom.
