A picture of the vertical section of clear vinyl tubing used to observe flow rate. It is run as high as possible vertically to limit water flowing out the overflow port. The ball valve can be adjusted from full flow just below overflow down to a minimum that just assures hot water will reach the FW tank at the end of the one minute run time. This will conserve propane and, if on city water, will minimize refilling of the FW tank. The valve is set for full flow when only using the push button to get HW to the sink or shower. Look carefully to see the water level during operation, just below the red pipe.

BTW, this circulator rates between 9 and 10 on Michael's Slickometer!  :D

A field report on the hot water circulator system. We're camping in hot/wet Florida with water and electric, but no sewer. So before each shower or dish washing event I run the HW circulator 10-15 seconds. "Instant" hot water without adding to the gray water tank. Every little bit helps to minimize the blue tank requirements.

Camping in beautiful, cool (nights) Colorado with no water or sewer hookups. Running the HW circulator a few seconds before each sink usage gets instant HW with no demand on FW or gray water storage. Works great.

Charliem - I know its cliché, but 'you're da man'. Really you are. You deserve a nice round of applause for your circulator system.
