My camper is sitting in the garage and it looks so lonely. Can't wait till April. May go south in March. So many plans, so far away, lol.
Happy Holidays to all!!!

Be sure to give her a pat once in a while and tell her your plans! That's what I do with Rose.  :D

Just a tip, tho': This year we went out early, desperate to escape from cooooold Wisconsin on April 19, thinking to head sou'west where it was warm! Yes! But! We overlooked the fact that to get to warmer climes we had to go through colder ones. Heading for New Mexico and Arizona we took a track through Illinois, Iowa, and Nebraska. We recorded overnight temps as low as 26. Our once-20-degree sleeping bags have long since lost considerable loft. We realized that Rosie's throw rugs were insufficient insulation as our electric heater was lucky to manage 12-15 degrees above ambient. It sleeted. There was occasional ice on the windshield. Some of the crew (of two) were grumpy.  (rofl)  In Colorado on April 29 we encountered a spring windstorm that seriously threatened to bend the bars and tear off the tent! (It must be noted that Rose suffered zero damage from that or any other windstorm in her 5-year career thus far, a testament to the toughness of Quicksilvers.) Spring can be a b****.  ;)

April is a little early here in Idaho for a pop-up, but I do have a trip to Bear Lake already scheduled for early June. I cant wait. Maybe a quick trip to Utah earlier in the year to slake my camping needs.

[p]Has finally arrived and the campgrounds just below the Mogollon Rim have opened. Though Arizona offers year round camping our favorite area is along the Mogollon Rim. In the mid 60's while living in Illinois we went camping in the 1965 Apache Ravenwood popup camper to such places as Hidden Lake, White Pines, Mississippi Palisades and Apple River Canyon are some of the places I can remember camping at.[/p]

We managed a night in the 20s at the Table Rock outing :) plenty of warm bodies in our camper and a little electric heater kept us warm enough that we slept through the night. The right motivation will get anyone out and moving :) but until then just keep looking outside and thinking about the great times to come
