[p]Howdy from DFW area, Republic of Texas[/p][p]
[/p][p]Our son and daughter-in-law talked us into joint purchase and ownership of a camper about a year and a half ago. The kids had some ideas and my wife did a bunch of research and found about the Camp Lite line.[/p][p]
[/p][p]They were looking at some smaller models, including an a-frame type but the gals weighed in on having a decent bathroom so we looked a little bigger. We finally decided on the CL16DBS after looking at one 170 miles away. Again researching, the wife found the best deal at Aberdeen RV in (what?!) Mississippi! So we ordered it and my son and I drove over to pick it up about 8 weeks later. Only shock on that trip was that pulling the trailer dropped the mileage on my Toyota Tacoma from 20-22 to 12-13. Oh well.[/p][p]
[/p][p]The kids also convinced us that we needed to store this thang nearby so we arranged to have a pad and mini driveway added to the backyard. It was finished the day we drove the camper home.[/p][p]
[/p][p]The son and DIL took it out first - November 2013 for a 4-day weekend in Oklahoma. It was cold and they ran out of LP gas, so that started the list of stuff to add and mod. One was an electrical heater to use as primary and/or backup.[/p][p]
[/p][p]My wife and I took it out for a week over Christmas-New Years 2013 to Fort Davis and Big Bend National Park. The camper worked out very well.[/p][p]
[/p][p]The kids took it out several more times in 2014.[/p][p]
[/p][p]The kids just took it for a Moto GP weekend near Austin and had trouble with the slide-out which is why I went looking  for a forum. That will be another thread.[/p][p]
[/p][p]Except for that and rookie mistakes, we have been very pleased with the 16DBS.[/p][p]
