Downloaded a few really informative Android Apps in the past month. No doubt we will be using these heavily as we travel:

Allstays Camp and RV

Good Sams

After researching our upcoming trip plans, the Allstays app is my current #1 favorite... the amount of information in that app is amazing!

I use Allstays as well.  It certainly is chock full of information.

Plans always change while on the road due to weather and other unforeseen events. Could have used some additional information on our trip to Wyoming several times last summer. Will be better equipped during the next trip out west. Don't have a smart phone, yet.

Our Son was showing us some electronic techie stuff this weekend. Will make technical upgrades before the next long trip!

Thanks for posting!

I have tried a few apps, one that finds state park campsites was somewhat useful.

But I really wish that Google Maps would show state parks, national parks or national forest campgrounds by entering that search term while zoomed to an area of interest on the map. All it ever returns are commercial campgrounds which isn't our thing.

I realize that Google gets its map data by crawling web sites and national forest campgrounds don't have a specific web site for each location. O well!

Here's an example of Allstays capability. This is a typical screenshot of a fairly information intense area in NC (Raleigh area)...

I just downloaded and tried Allstays. Wow!! It does exactly what I wished Google Maps would do. It has a map that is as detailed as you want, like Google Maps. Click on a site and you get a thumbnail of what it offers. Click on the website and you go to that campground's page on the state, NF, or NP's site and it gives you more detail.

One of the problems I have with state park websites as well as NF campground websites is finding them. The directions (if the site gives them) can be obtruse. Allstays lets you zoom in to the site to see exactly how to get there.

I now agree with the others. One of the best campground map and search capabilities out there.

Running late and just want to find an RV friendly WallyWorld or truck stop for some rest - that's in there too - with traveller comments/reviews to let you know what to expect. Nice!

AllStays is the app I always recommend also. I like to also double check info with the Good Sams app.  We are always checking the bathroom ratings.haha

However, to find fun things around me in my area or coming up along my planned trip, "RoadTripers" is a good one.

Liking the AllStays app!
