I had to read it twice, still don't believe it!

MDF for a roof!

Hence my thought about a spray on liner like Linex or Bullet.  It's a hard coating to protect against the inevitable scrapes.  Come to think of it I don't know why RV manufactures don't do that in place of existing roofs. Throw on the MDF and coat it, voila, instant water proof hard surface roof.

I prefer Aluminum"num"num" (metallic echo) roof, floor, walls, and frame!  ;)  

Had to fix a few things on the 2010 Aluminum Mighty 11, but it's mostly like being the Maytag Repairman for me!  8-)
