Pickerel Point Campground is on a peninsula on the southern side of Promised Land Lake. The area has 75 campsites and three camping cottages. Limited sites and the camping cottages are open year-round. An unguarded swimming area is at the end of the peninsula. The campground offers rustic walk-in sites, electric sites and full hook up sites with sewer, water and electric on site. An ADA accessible campsite is available. The entire area has two shower houses with laundry facilities and one restroom. Designated sites are open to pets.

No photos but spent the weekend at Champoeg State Park, OR. Less than an hour from home, didn't need to take Friday off of work.

Friday evening wind brought the aroma of the dairy farm, but the wind shifted to the east and we had nothing but fresh air.

* Forgot some prescription meds, had to run home Saturday. Took a shower there.

Next weekend: Fort Stevens SP.
Let's eat, Grandma !

2 days at Killens Pond SP, DE.    First night it rained HARD.   The roof was VERY noisy from the rain, not to mention the acorns falling sounded like gun shots!!!   The second night we needed the heater the second night got down to below 50F but slept in until 8:45....   late for us.

Looks like a good place to camp. You don't have anyone else close by. Next Friday night - Oct. 10th - hubby and I with our 2 dogs will be camping in our Camplite!
Located in Kentucky and Florida at present

We all know about loud rain in the Camplites, but I ever thought about acorns. This weekend we camped in Killbear Park, ON, Canada. Beautiful. Shorly after setting up we heard this tremendously loud bang. What was that? Structural failure, electrical short, broken plastic leveling block, a bear with a 30-06? Don't know......then it happened again! Then I looked outside: We had setup under a 50 foot oak tree with really big acorns. High velocity acorns, wind, and rain made for a noisy but beautiful weekend. Fall has come.

We love Knoebels amusement park.  One of the nicest in the country.  I grew up not too far from there.

Their ride tickets are good forever, so if you do not use them all, keep them for next year.  They haven't changed the ticket size or shape since I was a boy. Besides that, they welcome picnickers with a couple hundred tables close to the parking.

Yes, That ride looks very cool on youtube!  And it's exclusive to their park
