Been drooling over Quicksilver trailers for awhile.  Had a Jayco popup for years and have had a Starcraft hybrid for the past couple.  Been looking to go back to a lighter, low-profile camper that my Jeep can pull.  A 2012 XLP is up for sale from an individual a couple of hours from me and contingent on seeing it, I have worked out the deal.  I know the general things to look for (tires, canvas condition, etc) but any help on anything particular to this series to look at would be very helpful.  Other than a couple of snaps missing from the tarp (has a new one included), everything else is supposed to be in excellent condition.  I'm very excited to go look at it and hopefully purchase it on Tuesday.

Thanks for any hints!

The XLP line will have more to check than most QuickSilvers but overall it should be fairly easy to check out. Electrical would be the biggest thing I'd check out since the main control unit has been known to fail. I have a 10.0 that I recently had to replace the electrical control box which wasnt difficult, but it wasnt fun either. Mine was also a 2012 and it had been garage kept and only used maybe twice. The point being that the electrical items can fail with minimal use and for no apparent reason.

I'd also recommend insisting on being there to set it up for inspection. You learn a lot from going through it step by step during setup. Luckily there isn't much to go wrong with the QuickSilver line. You will probably have the most "complicated" QuickSilver on the forum since the XLPs have more systems than most, but I dont think you will have anything special to look for. Just make sure if it is supposed to turn on that it does, and if it shouldn't leak it doesn't :)

I would suggest visiting the Livinlite website and viewing the set up procedures. If set up make sure the stabilizer's are deployed, you don't want to walk in the back of the camper and have it do a wheelie.

Just wanted to follow-up and say thanks for the help!  I did purchase the camper and brought her home last night!  Only issue is that for some reason the brake and turn lights work, but the others are blowing a fuse on my tow vehicle.  Must be a short somewhere.  Otherwise looks great and we can't wait to go camping!
