After reading most of the threads on this site I have concluded that there are QC issues with LL trailers. Has this had any impact on the quality of the 2017 models? Have they improved?

There are QC issues with every trailer. Take a stroll through the other brand boards and you will see. Including Airstream. In short, look for complaints and you will find them.

I would have to say the worst problem on our rig was either the coupler being adjusted too loose - it hopped off the ball on the first trip (!!!) followed closely by the connection between the cable tv port on the outside not actually being connected to anything.

Pretty minor, actually. Yeah, we had metal shavings.

[/quote]No, of course not. Sawdust doesn't cause shorts in the lights, and I'd rather step on sawdust in bare feet. And sure wouldn't want it in my food or clothes.

But no worse to find and clean up. So it doesn't have to be that big a deal to get all butt-hurt over.

I am in agreement that any brand will have its issues.  When I go in other manufacturers campers I am always amazed how thin the wood is.  I spent more for a LL camper but I know it may leak but it will never rot.  As for what the 2017 line brings that is still to be determined.  The bottom line for me is the LL product has good bones.

One thing I noticed on the 2017 11FK is the power awning, much bigger fridge with stacked freezer, tile on the backsplash, solar hook up, and it weighs about 120 lbs more that previous years. So I'm hopeful that  maybe they are listening to customers and striving for a improved product. As for shavings, I have a really good vac.
