Last spring/summer we camped along Lake Huron. This fall it's Lake Michigan's turn. We are headed out soon to camp at some state parks in Michigan along the shore. We'll be in temps close to freezing at night, so I hope the furnace is working well! I'll post a trip report when we return.

[p]There is a large excess of heating capacity in the 16DB. Without taking any additional measures other than winterization of the plumbing with RV antifreeze....no additional insulation....only the OEM carpet runners on the bare aluminum floor....at 6F (at 4am) the furnace only runs at 65% duty cycle and keeps it plenty warm.[/p][p]
[/p][p]This is with the A/C unimpeded and the fridge in use.

Good luck![/p]

We had no problem with heat! Now if I could just figure out again how to get photos from Photobucket to the forum, I'd post some pics.

We had wonderful campsites at Wilderness State Park and Silver Lake State Park, both on Lake Michigan. Great weather too. Nice hikes with the dogs in both parks and in part of Silver Lake State Park you can drive on the sand dunes so our Land Cruiser got to be an ORV for an afternoon.

Oops. I meant to post the above in Trip Reports. I don't know how to move a post and I'm too tired to reload the photos into a new thread. Oh well.

I too love that screen room. It looks like it really adds to the living space of your camper. Question: How well would it contain 2 dogs who are (mostly) well-behaved and who don't challenge the integrity of a screen, but who will take advantage of a gap to greet other dogs?
Located in Kentucky and Florida at present

The material and screen are heavy duty material and we spent time adding Velcro to close gaps. It will confine normally behaved dogs just fine. The extra living space is wonderful!
