New 2016, 8.1 owner from Colorado

Just got my brand new, 2016,  Quicksiver 8.1 (with rear deck) and, the off road package with 15" tires home.

Love it!!!!  My little 2008 Toyota Tacoma with the 4 cylinder tows it like a dream. Can't even tell I'm towing a trailer. Looking forward to still getting 18-27MPG with my little Toyota while towing.

Just started doing some fix-ups and modifications to make it even better.

I'll post some threads on my fix-ups and modifications later.  The first one is adding an electric water pump for under $100  The factory J&C "Fump" is cute and it fits when the bunk is folded down but, its just about worthless to use as a manual pump.

The second one will be how to fix, service and repair the stabilizer jacks.

I really wanted to keep my Tacoma with the 4 cyl because I enjoy the 18-27 MPG it gets.  Towed a U-Haul to Arizona for my daughter going to College and the worst I got was 18MPG with 2800 pounds behind me.  The Quicksilver is almost a third lighter than the U-Haul.

Even though the new Tundras sure are nice, I was not ready to purchase a $50K truck to tow a trailer.  The Quicksilver fits the bill perfectly and, I get to keep my Tacoma!

Welcome to the family!! Colorado is one place that I need a "vacation re-do" (first trip was during the HUGE forest fires they were having a couple of years ago. scary stuff!)
