First impressions on our 14db and first travel trailer

Quality control needs work, our camper came with regular air vents and we're suppose to be high vortex vents.
Screen door had a fair size gap between the sliding panel and plastic stationary panel.
Fresh water tank had unusable water of almost an inch and half of water that couldn't  be used "when trailer is perfectly levelled", drainage of the tank as well.
Light switch over entrance to trailer doesn't work properly and light over the bed doesn't work on shore power.
Black tank meter is useless tank would be full and says 3/4 full,
Awning is blocking a window, flaw or over sight?
Storage door under stove defective,
Missing door holder or clip on outside doors to,storage under bed,
Unable to install a sway control without moving or swapping propane tanks and battery, unless drilling into the frame flaw or oversight? Considering an anderson WDH.

Glad to say all of which covered by warranty and our dealer will be fixing the problems.

Love the double axel and idea of all aluminum, main reason we went with livinlite 14db,
So far did a few short camping trips in time hope to add more feedback on problems and solutions we found.

Happy camping

Welcome!

When installing the Andersen WDH, you can add chain links as required.  I mounted the brackets right behind the propane tanks and added a link to each side.  Works great.  You'll find with the trailer, once you get the initial issues worked out, you'll appreciate how tough of a trailer the Camplites are.  When I hear stories from owners of other trailers of fresh water tanks falling out while driving down the road, or rotten flooring, etc, I realize that in spite of its flaws, I'm happy with the purchase we made.

Doug is right I added 3 links to my Anderson and it works just fine. As to your other issues most if not all have been issues with others on this forum. LL needs to fix those that you want fixed and others are covered by better upgrades if you so choose. Like the Seelevel tank monitoring system several have installed and the Fantastics fans most have upgraded to. Once you get it the way you want it you'll love it. Camp on my friend.

Hello and welcome to Camplite world!! We have a 14DBS, very similar to yours but with a slide.
We can go 3 1/2  days on a tank of fresh water. If we need to, I tilt the trailer forward to get a little more water out of the tank.
Thoroughly check out all the Camplite posts. There's a lot of info and fixes for the issues on these travel trailers.
I made room for our Equal-i-zer hitch brackets by moving the LP tank holding base forward 1 inch and drilling new holes in the base, and reused the existing threaded holes in the aluminum frame.
We have the regular exhaust fans, but I made them two speeds by using a couple of heat gun resistors and a two way switch. (it's nice to have a quiet fan)
We had a Dometic fridge issue of not cooling well in warm weather. I did some extensive trial and error adjustments and it is now doing an acceptable job. (added a fan in the condenser area too)
We have thoroughly enjoyed our Camplite and hope you do too!!
WELCOME!!
