Soon da U.P.! Copper Harbor bound!

Getting excited! Soon we will be packing up the 13RDB and heading for the u.p. of the u.p. to one of the best mountain biking destinations in the country - Copper Harbor, MI.
This will be our 3rd trip there but the first time with the CampLite. This will also be our longest tow to date - a 10+ hour trip. We plan to split it up and drive 5 hours to a trail in Central Wisconsin, ride a couple days and then on Labor Day make the rest of the trip to CH for the rest of the week. Then peace, quiet, relaxation and world class riding! Oh, and there's that other little attraction - beautiful Lake Superior. OMG, gorgeous. Might have to rent a kayak and get on the water while we're there.

If you've never been to the Upper Peninsula, make plans to go. You won't regret it!

But first this weekend, a quick shakedown of the new shoes we put on last week. I was under the trailer doing something and took a good look at the tire tread and thought it was time to replace the tires before a big trip.

I go to the UP twice a year and love it.So much to see........................................

This will be our second trip this year.  The first was in February (yes, winter!) to try out the groomed Fat Bike trails in Marquette. I'm sure we'll do it again this winter. It was a blast!

I live in the Lower Peninsula of Mich and I LOVE the UP! I spent a week camping in the Keewenaw last year and it was heavenly. I haven't made it up there yet this year but maybe before the snow starts to fly.....of course in the UP that could be just about any time now! LOL!
