We have a Quicksilver 6.0 and love it, but we're getting a little older and when it comes time to set-up and lifting the bed into place, I'm having trouble holding the weight, so my husband can bring it down. Any suggestions?

I was about to provide a possible solution but then realized that your hitch and possibly rear deck get in the way when you set up your bunk.  I can set up my 8.1 alone, but have no obstructions.

When it comes to connecting the supporting poles, I use the "shoulder method".  I support the weight of the bunk on my shoulder while I attach the supporting pole.  Once one pole is in place, it supports the weight of the bunk.

Off the top of my head, you could try using an extension poll to help brace it. I've even pre attached one of the support polls to the bunk of my 10.0, then as I open it the poll swings down and supports the bed.
