First of all, I'm not sure I would have optioned a built-in TV, but since its there...

1) First night trying to watch a movie, we could not - the image looked terrible when viewed from an angle. Did not seem like the TV would tilt vertically.

Next day found this:

I had to dismount the...mount... Anyhoo, so I could put the mount in a vise and apply a breaker bar to get that hex nut to move so I could adjust vertical. It is a tricky bugger to get it tight enough to not flop around, but loose enough to adjust for different seating in our 14DBS. It seems like actually tilting it also tightens the nut, too. Not terribly impressed with the mount - a tension nut is not as good IMO as something using detents for positive adjustment that stays adjusted.

Viewing angle is pretty narrow, that comes with the territory of cost.

I only foresee us using the TV to play a DVD, anyway. I don't go camping so I can watch TV.

Maybe some silicone spray at the pivot? Or even white lithium grease or equivalent?

Mine's very "catch-y" when loose enough to move and not so loose as to flop.

We use the Sony Portable Spkr posted below.  Plug into back of TV...sounds great w/ tv and movies as well as when we point it out the window and run it via blue tooth music...just need to find a better way to set on a shelf somehow instead of on back of countertop.  I copied this from Best Buy but bought it from HHGreg on sale.  Just another option.

We ordered our trailer without a TV, but they put the mount on anyways. We have no intention of ever installing a TV. Any ideas on what the mount could be used for instead of holding a TV? A mirror mount? Extremely flexible coat rack? White board holder?

Who makes better 12v RV TV's?
I ordered without the TV because I wasn't impressed with the quality of the one I saw at a dealership. Later I bought a Majestic 12V TV. Seems to work OK, but the audio and speakers suck. I hook it up to the radio aux in and all is fine.
