We just bought an 8.0 off-road QS in beautiful University of Tennessee orange!  Today was our "trial run" of setting up the camper in our drive way.  We found that we needed step stools to get the right height (we are vertically challenged at 5'almost 2) and leverage to open each end up.  Also needed the step stool to hold down each end Bimini in order to snap the ends.  After hosing it down then letting a brief shower coat it good with rain, we let her dry out good (as suggested to treat the seams).  We found no leaks inside after the rain so that was great! Taking the camper down was another story.  Even though we read other posts of how to take it down, and also watched the how-to videos, it still wasn't that easy.  We ended up taking the Velcro off of the kitchen end middle bimini bar so that end would lie flat prior to closing the other end.  We may regret doing so when we are ready to set it up again. I think we're gonna love it, but hope that with each set up and take down that things get easier.  :)

Congratulations and welcome to the board! Yes, there is a learning curve that you need to go through, but it becomes easier as you work your way through the process.

Hope you have many happy camping trips!

[p]Love that Volunteer Orange and though we live in FL, we love TENNESSEE!  We have a quaint cabin in East TN where we rock out from time to time, that is, it has a deck with rockers.   [/p][p]
[/p][p]Got a new neighbor a year back and honestly, the place just isn't the same.  This guy, well, he's a real jerk...shows up at all hours of the night and jerks the top off of our custom-built trash can enclosure.   Locals there call him bar... ;)[/p][p]
[/p][p]Welcome![/p]
